MDC Nursing Spring 2017

Hi,

I just took the Hesi entrance exam last week and I am about to apply to Miami Dade College for the Spring 2017 generic full time program. The deadline is September 1 so I am sure there are more than a few people that have applied or are getting ready to apply. I have not seen a forum as yet for spring 2017. I would like to hear from people who are applying for spring 2017.

Also they extended the deadline last year and they sent out the first round of acceptance email on October 16th! Today is already the 18th!! Come on MDC, hurry up!!!

I had no idea they extended the deadline. Does anyone know until when? I can't believe I was going crazy on the 31st of August taking the HESI and then applying right after. I remember calling a couple of days before I took the exam and the girl told me I *HAD* to apply before Sept 1st, nothing about an extension!

The person that I spoke with on the phone said the deadline was extended after September 1. I didn't ask until when so I'm not sure. She claims that they are making final selections and will be sending out the accepatance emails this week but she doesn't know if it's today.

Im really hoping it's today!

well if not today at least there's some relief that it will be this week at the latest! í ½í¹

they did that last year since they didn't have enough applicants (i.e. money) yet.

If this is the case, then I hope that means there will be more room for people getting accepted lol :up:

Do you guys get your acceptance emails? Good luck to you guys. What were your science gpa and hesi if I may ask?

Thank you for the information! Greatly appreciate it. I was planning on looking for a part-time job, but it definitely is a great idea to first balance out my studying and exams before.

Do you know how many people were accepted for the AO?

Between 50 to 60 people were accepted for January 2016 AO. There are about 35 students left, out of the 35 maybe half of us started in January, the others transferred in or had to repeat a course and stayed on track with us.

If that's the case, it could be good news for us, a smaller applicant pool means better chances at everyone getting in.

I have a feeling they will send it out on Friday last year it was a Friday when they sent it out
