MDC Nursing Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for applicants of the nursing program at Miami Dade College for Fall term 2017. I'm currently working on my last prerequisites and will be finished this semester. I plan on taking the HESI A2 in January and applying for the Generic and Part time tracks.

If you search the classes you can actually see whats available for fall already.

hey guys. Just waiting for the letters to roll out. How's everybody holding up? Yes I do think we should use another form of communication to reach out to each other better and ask questions. So what are we doing? whats app or facebook? I seen a comment about facebook. I don't have one but Ill get one now just for this purpose. Guys Im really not that sharp most of the time, so Im going ot need a lot of help with thinking ahead. What are you all doing right now in the waiting process? Anything I should be looking at, into, preparing for, searching, ? I don't know. I really want to be ahead of the ball and be as successful at this as possible. Anywhere I should make sure I go to like a certain study lab, or websites and books, or club, or something? Any person You all know that I need to know to make sure Im on top of things. HELP! Im not panicking just don't always know what to do and don't have the right questions so please, stay close and keep me in the loop and on the ball. Im going ot join the facebook group but anything else to join let me know.

Hey Julie.john, they have created a Facebook group MDC NURSING APPLICANTS 2017/18. If you decide to get a Facebook go and check them out. Some students have gone ahead and ordered the textbooks for the first semester to get ahead. We are all patiently or impatiently waiting for our acceptance emails. Again, good luck to every one!!

I prefer this site than Facebook.

The benefit is that photos can also be uploaded on Facebook of books, schedule, letters etc

Wow! Ordered the textbooks? I don't think it's a good idea to move in haste. The school provides those who have been accepted into the program with a list of books to purchase. I believe this is given during orientation. Did they already receive their acceptance letters?

No one has received acceptance letters but some have started reading ahead.

Thanks a bunch! Will do

Hi @sybonny08 . What's really helping me is the HESI NCLEX RN review guide. It does a really good job with putting all the information together. Also, I read a lot. Regardless of whether the professor gives a study guide or not, I make sure I have time to read the text. MDC also gives us a lot of case studies online and practice questions. Some people don't do them but I do because it gives you the right answer and the rationale behind it. Make sure you do those. It's called adaptive quizzing. You'll see when you get here :) people also recommend Saunders nclex review.
