Published

this is what the director stated in an email: the deadline date to apply for the fall 2012 program is may 1, 2012. the deadline date to apply for the spring 2012 program is september 1, 2011. please remember that all admission requirements, including teas and hsc0003 (a new course required for all students applying for fall 2012) must be completed prior to the deadline date to apply.

it's always something new they add!

I did not go to the Spring open house, but I will definitely go to the next one...

Well the adviser said that if you have a 3.0 and u get a 96% on your TEAS V they will accept that student and they actually did accept her. He said it depends on the balance. Although still trying to keep my GPA at a 4.0.:o

Good luck with your entrance everyone. I graduated in December and just need to take the NCLEX (Life got in the way). One thing about the MDC program you have to learn right now is that you must be FLEXIBLE! They will constantly change things up even in the middle of the program.

Have anyone you know gotten a 96% on the Teas V??? I just think that getting a 96% it's highly improbable even though not impossible.

I took the teas V yesterday and got an 82%...but I would've loved to get that 96% :D :igtsyt:

Thank you, Sartak! Congrats and do keep us posted on how your career as an MDC nursing grad goes!

Yisy, I haven't heard of anyone who got a 96%+. Some guy said he got a 98%, but judging from what I know about him, I think he was full of hot air.

I know for sure about a couple of people that got a 94%. No one else I have heard of got into the 90%+ range.

Does the natural science include only the pre-reqs or any science course? Cause with microbiology lab, my gpa becomes a 2.5, without it I would have a 3.06.

They do not look at Micro lab for the Associate's program that is for the Bachelors degree =) Thye only count Micro lecture so it shouldn't lower your gpa on your application for the ASN.

Thank you!!! :D

I'm so glad they don't count it because this has been stressing me all week. Do you think I have a chance of getting in for the Spring semester with a 3.06 gpa and a high TEAS score? Given that I'm studying for my teas and I WILL do good (with all the positive energy I'm giving out, of course +++)

If you rock that TEAS I think you've got a shot! That is 60% of what they look at =)

A friend of mine told me yesterday that she read somewhere on the MDC website that ENC1101 & PHI2604 will be count as science Pre-requisites. That may help you out if you have good grades in those classes.

I'll be taking the TEAS again on Monday!!! I hope I can do better :D

when are you taking it?

I hope they don't count because I would then have my gpa drop to a 2.7. I don't do well in English classes, lol. I took my TEAS about a week ago and scored a 70%. That was without studying and literally cramming some science information like 3 hours before the test. It's really not a complicated test but I do recommend going over the basics. I plan on taking it in about a month so I could actually have time to study and prepare for it.

After taking the test I realized that this website really does have everything that will be on the test!
