MDC new requirements Spring 2011

Is anyone here going for Mami Dade College ASN program for Spring 2011. they have new requirements, TEAS test and gpa based SOLELY on natural science gpa

the science gpa will be all anatomy, micro lecture, and chem lect + lab. wanted to know what the applicant pool numbers were looking like!

Update: I talked to Romalia and she said what I told you guys. Finish everything asap, if you cannot finish it by October 28, its ok. Just let her know that we are pending on something. =) Good luck everyone!

for you guys that got in would u mind sharing your gpa/teas scores? or if mdc gave u the cut off? thanx and congrats

@ navy corpsman .. thank you! i know it takes a while cuz i booked my appointment for the mdc criminal background and i had to get it on nov. 8th thats the soonest one they had i should call her up.. so we have to let her know that we will be turning in our paperwork later than the deadline correct?

@shamanai .. well my science gpa is around a 3.8 i got one B on my sciences so i think that it should be around 3.8, and on my teas i scored 69%

Yes, just let Romalia know. She also said during orientation, they will introduce some other girl and we can call her up to. We'll meet her next week.

my cum gpa is 3.62. but my gpa for my science.. i have no idea. I have one C, so I assume maybe 3.7. For the teas, I got a 64%.

gpa 3.72.... science gpa 3.7.... teas 74 also i heard you need to have things in by orientation in order to register for classes if you want good classes i suggest you get it in. btw the results for my titers, drug test, and background check were in within 2 days of me having had them done. also anyone applying for the baptist scholarship....

Hi - I also got accepted for spring 2011 into MDC RN full time track. My science GPA was 4.0 and my TEAS V score was 87.9. The test was not hard, just basic questions about science, math, grammar and reading. Good luck!

i know! everything is very fast, i have everything done already required in step 3 except the criminal background screening test. when i went online to schedule an appointment the soonest one they had was nov. 8th, which is horrible cuz thats the only thing thats holding me back from turning in my paperwork at orientation. they should at least allow a police criminal background screening i called and asked if i could do it at a police station and they dont allow it.. =/.. i guess i just have to wait and get crappy classes

Dont worry about it. At least you are in. Just relax and recharge for the new beginnings! :yeah:

jessy I think they will excuse you for the background check since you cant do anything about the appointment situation. im really anxious to start. i hope see you all at orientation.
