It's never too early to start the discussion....
Anyone else preparing to apply to the Nursing program at MDC by May 1, for a Fall 2021 start date? Which tracks? TEAS test plans?

It’s the same break that the rest of the school has- we follow the same 16 week semester schedule.

Our fall semester ended 12/18/20 and Spring started 1/6/21. My fall Semester (final semester) this year ends 12/12 but I’m not sure if it’s earlier because we graduate.

I’m guessing you’re in the transitional program. Nur1002 is Transition to Professional Nursing. Instead of taking Fundamentals, you take this class. Your schedule if you’ve received it, should show the start day for clinicals. It’s usually not right at the start on your first classes but I’m not 100% with the transition program.
The Description of this class shows: This course introduces students with prior health care education to the nursing profession, nursing role, nursing process and the implementation of health-promoting activities to meet patient needs. Students will learn the nurse's role in meeting short and long term needs of the patient through preventive, therapeutic and palliative care. Students will also explore nursing care of the adults with moderate alterations in health within a body systems framework. Prerequisite: Admission to the School of Nursing. Co-requisites: NUR 1002L, 1142. Special fee. (6 hr. lecture)

Hi yes The student handbook you get it on the day of orientation and then once orientation is over the last page is what you sign and then you have to upload in the system

Okay but what about med surge does that mean that this class is a combination of fundamentals and med surge?

Don’t know about hep, because I got the vaccine as a teen and had my titers done, but flu is not in season.
