Nursing Students School Programs

Hi guys, I couldn’t find a thread for this semester so decided to start it since the deadline is pretty soon.

Has anyone applied for Spring already? The application process is much easier this time around.

I have not yet I am finishing my last prereqs now in the Summer term and plan to apply right after. How is the process? I want to prepare myself before hand. Do we take the HESI or the TEAS?

Unfortunatly they are extreamly strict on thier scheduling and they pick it for you, you may have to look into part time but even then may be difficult you may have to apptoach your enployer for that case .. sorry I cabt give a deffinient answer you can try emailing medical avisement

Thank you. I ended up declining the position, I already work at a hospital so I might just switch to per diem once school starts. Thank you. BTW is advisement taking appointments if so how?

So you go on the MDC site Medical Campus Programs Admissions. You click on "Submit Your Application Here", and after you sign in it should take you to a page that lists all programs. You select the program you want and it lists requirements and if you have met them. If requirements are met then it will give you the option to apply at the bottom of the screen and it's as easy as one click. From there you contact the bursar' office and pay the $25 fee for each application submitted (It says 48 hours but I was called the next morning to make my payment that day by 7pm). If you have an LPN license for the bridge you then email a copy to medical campus advisement. And the test for admission is the TEAS, it is listed on the requirement section in the application and you can click on it and check your score.

Awesome! Thank you! Did you speak with advisement prior to applying? Also which transitional program are you applying for?

I did speak to advisement (Dawn Diamond is the person I had contact with), originally with my first question about GPA. I then had more questions that she was able to answer for me and I was able to apply. But if you are informed and actually know what you are doing you may not need to and will be able to just apply. I didn't know I could skip the skills update course and intro to healthcare because I'm an LPN and she clarified that for me. I applied for transitional full time Spring 2021

Yes I already got those courses exempt. I am going to apply for the transitional full time (online blended) and part time. I don't think the part time is really offered because it depends on how many ppl actually apply if its not enough they make them do the full time. Thats what happened to my friend shes doing the transitional blended she finishes in December.

LOL no, I should say I emailed. I went on the advisement site and under contact and advisor I clicked on the medical campus advisement email and started from there. You can also look for Dawn Diamond in the MDC Directory to get her direct email address.

You're welcome. To schedule the TEAS go on the testing department page and click on "Status of selected exams" Go down to TEAS and put in a request. The next day I got an email asking for student ID, and desired date and time. In June the fee was waived, I don't know if it still is.

OMG thank you so much. I will go ahead and schedule. Did you take it already?
