Hello everyone!!
I always read the posts, but I haven't posted in a long time.
But I have yet to see anyone speak about the LPN to RN Transition Online Program at Miami-Dade College. I am completing my pre-requisites at Broward College. I finished Chemistry (B), ENC 1101 (B), and I am now in A&P 1 with lab (which is also looking like a B in both). I am going to apply to Broward College. However, , I heard that there is an online LPN to RN program at Miami-Dade College that I would love to get more info about. Is anyone attending the program or knows anyone that is attending the program? If so, how is it going???? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
Toodles!
I dont think the LPN is the same gpa cause my friend didnt have a 3.8. She had a 3.0 at least thats what she said. Do you know about anyone in the transitional program am already an LPN
No, I don't know anyone already in the transitional program, but thanks so much for the information. It offers hope! mari
Well, the pharmacology was always hard for me to really understand when I was in LPN school (and sometimes even now for that matter).... The LPN program goes so fast, so I know how you feel and there is really no time to waste because you have to pass the term in such a short time. The best advice I can give is to look up the drugs in your drug book and online. Flash cards also helped when I was in school. Once you learn the classifications of the medications, then it can make it a little easier once you see the drug in that classification; you'll be able to at least get some of the side effect of the drug, peak time, duration time, etc. Also make sure you study with study groups/partners cuz sometimes hearing things help you to remember when your taking the test. If the professor allows you, try to record your classes too, then you can play it back when you get home or if you are driving or whenever you get a chance. There are always new drugs coming out, but just learn your basics for now (like the heparin, lasix, etc). I think Lipincott has a pharmacology book that everyone used to talk about too. Hope you do good, and feel free to send me a message anytime! :nuke: GOOD LUCK!
