I am also applying for FIU-- I was accepted last year to MDC but for financial and personal reasons could not attend. :'( Who else will be applying to Generic FT? Please state what program you will be applying to!
I will be taking the TEAS sometime in March, in which I will also be taking the HESI A2 for FIU. So I might as well be studying for both, lol. Anybody taken the TEAS at MDC? Share your experiences here! :) I will be using a general book for nursing school entrance exams... it's by Barron... and I will be studying my math from a nursing calculation book, and my sciences from my anatomy, biology, and other notes. Is it true there is geology on the exam? How irrelevant... lol
Does anyone know why the old form required a Varicella & Measles titer only if you don't get vaccinated, but the new form says you have to get the titer regardless? I heard the titer is very expensive and wondering where I can get it.

I had a rubella (and all others) vaccination when I was about 5 yrs old and when I took the titer it said I was immune to chicken pox, measles, and mumps but not rubella so I had to be re-vaccinated. I hope I'm immune to it this time! That must have happened to people in the program but they may have gotten sick. It was about $350 at a clinic in dade county. Let me know if you find it any cheaper.
Just spoke to Romalia at the Med Campus. She said that it IS by address and that it must have been a mistake. I have to reply with the Homestead form and then see her in orientation for the correct paperwork. WHEW!! I thought I had to go to Kendall at the least..what a relief.

No, because you have to get the titer tests done regardless of what vaccinations you have had.
I am interested in your docs name...I am trying to figure out the cheapest way for me to get all this done because I have no health insurance....anyone know of anywhere cheaper than that? Someone had also mentioned to me that we might need health insurance to participate in the program but I didn't see any mention of that in my email had anyone else heard of that?
Also I am wondering do we register ourselves for classes when regular registration opens on the 22nd or do we wait for orientation?
I think the reality of this whole thing is really starting to hit me...I am so excited and nervous about the responsibility and experiences we are going to have in the next coming years!!
I am checking my email since early in the morning for any email, but I guess it will be just like yesterday, they will start to send emails out towards the end of the day. Well I will keep on checking it, and hoping I get in LOL!!!

I was thinking that maybe we were on a waiting list and they weren't going to send out more acceptance letters until people declined their offers. I hope this is not the case, I am not sure I can wait another 10 days for notice!
