MDC Fall 2019 Nursing

Published

Hello fellow students! I wanted to create a topic for those who are planning on starting the MDC Nursing program in the Fall of 2019. It's never too early to be well prepared. LOL. I have a B.A. and was able to get some of my credits transferred to the A.S. I read through the thread for the Fall of 2018 class and the Spring of 2019 class. Both threads have some very useful information regarding how to study for the HESI, scores needed to get into the program, etc. and many people from those groups keep in touch in Facebook and via Whatsapp. I'm looking for a support/study group for those that are in the same timeline as I am. Just starting BSC2086 A&P 2/lab and MGF1106 next week at Kendall/Homestead campuses. Also, looking for P/T work at Baptist Hospital or MDC. I am anticipating taking Microbiology and the Intro to Healthcare in the Spring '19, along with the HESI. Hope to meet some great people on here!

Congrats to everyone that made it. I remember being in your shoes just this past October. I am now halfway through my second semester. I am selling my books if anyone is interested please email me shireenmg80@ yahoo. com.

Also if you're looking for a place to do your CPR I HIGHLY recommend The Nursing Station https://miamicpr.net/

The owner's name is Dorothy. She's a nurse at Jackson. Tell her I referred you (Shireen Knox) ;)

Good luck to everyone!

Hello Everyone! Thankfully I found this site and saw all the amazing information and this thread for all those who have applied. I just got my acceptance email for the AO program and have almost everything completed.

I sat with Sandra that is mentioned in the listing of all required items. If you have done the background check make sure you did the $129 one not the $57 one because it seems to be a recurring issue. Do NOT select the first Nursing option but the second one listed on the IBR website when scheduling an apt. If you have made the mistake already you can call and go back and complete the ACHA separately for $76 with MDC ID.

All I'm missing is the health form, that will be difficult and expensive part without any insurance and the closing of the MDC clinic. She mentioned trying the minute clinic, quest or the suggested places on mdc.

Lastly, in my search I found what might be our handbook for the FAll as it was revised last 2018 & 2019.

Hope this helps.

Please if I may be added to the chat 305 878 49 50

Hello,

Not sure how these threads work. I was accepted into Fall 2019 for Transitional FT. Is there anyone in the group chat for that program?

My number is 954-770-3450.
