Hi everyone,
I received an interview for the MD Anderson Clinical Nurse Residency Program starting hopefully mid-March. I'm incredibly nervous because this is my first call back.
Anybody have any tips on... How the interviews are conducted? How many are interviewed? What units at the hospital are available to work in? And did anybody else get an interview?
Thanks!
Thanks so much! So looking forward to it! :)
Hey Hannah! I think I met you today at HR. My name's Erika by the way :)
All I know so far is to show up for orientation, which is September 9th for me.
Does anyone have a gist of what the program schedule will be like/ and if it will be different for every unit? Will we have a week of orientation classes, what do we wear, etc?
Hi Erika! Nice to meet you today :) I didn't get a ton of info on orientation, but I was told that the first two weeks would be classroom learning for us, from 8-4 or 5 Monday-Fri. The first day september 9 is hospital orientation in the morning and then we go to our units for the rest of the day and meet everyone. After the two weeks of classroom stuff, we start doing nursing orientation on the units. That's about all I know! Not sure what we're supposed to wear...
I also heard that we pay for monthly parking. So if your day shift, it costs $130 to park each month and if you're night shift it costs $33. But the first month we can all get it for $20, we just have to tell the parking attendant first time we come.

Thank you! Sounds good! It says in the parking FAQ they only accept checks btw. I'm excited! Guess I might run into you Thursday to get our TB tests read :)
Just got a phone call that I was selected for the OR Residency! So excited! Looks like I'll be moving to TX VERY soon!
Congratulations! I hope I get in too. I haven't heard yet.
In the meantime, I got the official offer for the Graduate Residency. It's for GU Medical Oncology. I'm so relieved that I have at least one offer out of the two so far!

Congrats! Have you decided which of the two you're going to accept?
Hi,
I missed the application for the September cohort Does anyone know when the next residency program application starts? I am from California but would love to work for MD Anderson. Anyone willing to give me a referral?
Thank you so much! Congratulations to everyone who has already started.
