MD Anderson nursing residency

Published

I received an invitation to take online assessment for MD Anderson clinical nurse position. I took the assessment, now trying to find out how long I have to wait before I hear from them. Can anyone please share their experience with me? Thank you

Hey guys! I'm new to this thread as I am from California and just decided to apply out of state considering my chances in Cali are slim. Made the cutoff deadline for MD Anderson yday. I'll be lucky to get a call...

And bluejays! Saw ya on the CHLA and choc thread too! You're from Baltimore? Did you apply to Johns Hopkins

Hey! I have applied to CHLA and CHOC too... and Georgetown... I just want an awesome peds job. preferably onc. and I haven't applied to hopkins hospital but I do go to hopkins.

Just had my phone interview and the lady was really nice! It was a really relaxed interview and ver conversational. She didn't ask any of the questions I had on my list but they weren't difficult. I can't remember any of them for the life of me though. I think I blacked out a bit. Went well though! I have a panel interview in two weeks.

Good news, she said they are hiring A LOT of new grads! oh and they said they hire a lot of out of staters which is good for all of us out of staters!

Hello!

Does anybody know how the panel interviews are like? Do they ask clinical scenarios? I have a panel interview coming up (SUPER NERVOUS!) and it's through video conference since I am out of state. This hospital is amazing, I'm so excited to even be considered! Anyways, if anyone has any info on the panel interviews, please let me know :)

Did they schedule you for panel interview right after you did your first phone interview or did you have to wait to be notified? Thanks.

@new01: They scheduled me for a panel interview at the end of my phone interview. It was all in one call

Thank you. Good luck on your panel interview!

I have a panel interview via video too, when is yours? I read somewhere that the questions are similar to the phone interview, which I totally blacked out on. I had prepared answers to 20 common nursing interview questions and the phone interview asked NONE of them!

So yeah, if anyone has heard anything, anything would be awesome!

Thanks @new01!

Hi BlueJays2013,

My panel interview is next week! I've heard the same, that it's similar to the phone interview. How have you been prepping? I've been just looking over common nursing interview questions. Good luck to us!

Thanks @new01!

Yeah same... I prepped for two hours before my phone interview and honestly, I'm not sure it did anything, considering she asked questions I didn't expect, but I surprised myself and was able to think on my feet and go back into my file of experiences and pull some stuff out.

I'm a little stressed about it being video... I would like to be able to shake everyones hand and really try and wow them in person.

My interview is Tuesday next week. Is yours before or after?

and good luck!!!!

Yeah I was surprised at a few of the questions myself! Same, I'm wondering now about what is proper etiquette for a video interview lol. My interview is the same day! You're out of state right? Tuesday is the last day for interviews, I believe so hopefully we can wow them on video :)

Yep I am out of state, but TX is my home state! Wouldn't mind returning!

Interview in 2 hours.... SO NERVOUS!!! I'll let y'all know how it goes!

Does anybody know when the panel interviews will be completed and when will they start contacting people about their decisions? I had my interview last week and I am anxious to know if I will get an offer or not. :)
