MCPHS ABSN 2018

Published

Hello-

I wanted to start a thread for applicants applying for 2018. I recently applied and I am anxiously waiting for a decision!

I am in the same position as @Cynthiavnurse. I applied to Worcester for the ABSN program in November and got waitlisted. I kept in touch with the admissions counselor over the months and received a call from an admission counselor from the Boston campus who said I would be eligible to get off the waitlist at Worcester and placed into the new Boston program. This is a brand new program they are opening up in the fall at Boston so if you are waitlisted or haven't heard back yet don't worry because I believe they are still trying to fill up the class. I will definitely be attending the Boston ABSN program :)

That's awesome! I'm glad i'm not the only one. Are you going to the accepted students day?

The one in April? I think so! I'm going to try to anyway

Yes the one on the 21st, I just registered. I'm very excited, hopefully I'll see you there :). Btw has anyone started a Facebook group ?

Hi All! I found out I was accepted via the portal today! (YAY!) But, then, discover that I still need to take Chemistry I *&* II *prior to September* via the button (which shows up AFTER acceptance) about course requirements! Yikes!

I wrote to admissions to say completing both within that deadline would be doubtful - then looked around on the site to see if I missed something - I couldn't find this mentioned anywhere.

I had been in constant contact with the admissions person assigned to me to ensure my materials were delivered and satisfactory, but this, too, was never mentioned by them. Just a heads up to those also applying who may run into this.

These are the required classes:

A&P I (w/lab)

A&P II (w/lab)

Microbiology (w/lab)

Chem I (w/lab)

Chem II(w/lab)

Statistics

Human Development

I just got to know that I was accepted to Boston location through the website, excited. I am still waiting to hear from my first choice which is NYU. Good Luck to you all!!

I ran into the same issue so I'll be taking Chem 2 this summer. Its definitely possible to complete both chem courses over the summer if you're open to it, most community colleges offer them accelerated so you'd complete one in June/July and the second in August

Hi all congrats on your acceptance! I was recently accepted into the Boston campus and was wondering if anyone knew if we had a mandatory orientation to attend and when it will be?

Hi congratulations on your acceptance:). I'm not sure if we have a required orientation yet, but I am attending accepted students day on the 21st of this month, maybe they will let us know on that day if we have a mandatory orientation. I'm sure we will have one but maybe later on.

Hey guys, I have recently applied to the boston campus, I have sent in my resume, 1 letter of recommendation do I also need to sent in a personal statement?

Hey the personal statement or resume is not mandatory. I did send both and I think it worked in favor for me since I got accepted. I would send the statement to show them my passion/desire for nursing.

Thank you so much for answering, I will send one in. How long did it take for you to hear back??

I saw that I was accepted within a week after all my documents were check marked as as complete and under review on online portal
