MCPHS ABSN 2018

Published

Hello-

I wanted to start a thread for applicants applying for 2018. I recently applied and I am anxiously waiting for a decision!

Hello all!! congratulations to everyone accepted!!! I graduated from the Worcester campus in 2013! And I absolutely loved the program, honestly the program was difficult and what made the difference for me was the support and collaboration with my classmates! Form study groups and stick to people that you vibe with and put in the work! I'm now thinking about getting my master in Nurse education and considering coming back to MCPHS all the instructors were awesome! They all had their quirks but who doesn't. Anyway again congrats!!! Please feel free to ask me anything, I hope I can help answer some questions.

Hi, there!

I hope it's ok but I just sent you a friend request on here! I have a bunch of questions about the program, how you managed your time, etc. I want to talk to someone who has already been through the program. I'm not sure if you can send private messages on here, but if not, is it ok if I give you my email?

Hi! Do you remember if there was any word limit for the personal statement. Thank you.

I don't think there was any word limit, but I kept mine at 500 words and I got in!

Hello everyone! I recently got accepted to the ABSN program at the Boston campus. Has anyone else been accepted to the Boston program?

My application is under review as of today. Did you apply for the post-baccalaureate nursing program?

@cynthiavnurse -When did your application become "complete" and went under review? I submitted all my materials by Jan 1, but didn't fall "completed and "under review" until Feb 1st. I am still listed as "under review" on the portal and now getting anxious!!

I submitted on March 17th and the application became complete on April 3rd. I applied through MCPHS website, not NursingCAS. You can see online if they received yor documents. It will be unchecked on the online portal if you are missing your transcript or recommendation letter.

I was wondering about cynthiavnurse's comment, as she was accepted to Boston. I applied through the MCPHS website too and now am on month 3 of being complete and month 2 of waiting after being declared "complete" *and* "under review".

Yes i did apply for the post- baccalaureate nursing program.

Hello everyone, i just wanted to tell you guys how i was accepted to MCPHS Boston, because i know a few of you have been waiting to hear back and such. I applied in November for the Worcester program and was wait listed. However, i kept in touch with the admissions counselor and also kept working on my application. I submitted my resume as well as two other letters of recommendations. In late March i received a call from the Boston admissions counselor who had viewed my application and offered me a spot in their Boston program.

So if any of you haven't heard back, don't get discouraged because it seems like they are still looking at applications and accepting students.

Have you tried speaking to someone in admissions? I would call them and check because your status should have changed by now. Have you received anything by mail?

I am in the same position as @Cynthiavnurse. I applied to Worcester for the ABSN program in November and got waitlisted. I kept in touch with the admissions counselor over the months and received a call from an admission counselor from the Boston campus who said I would be eligible to get off the waitlist at Worcester and placed into the new Boston program. This is a brand new program they are opening up in the fall at Boston so if you are waitlisted or haven't heard back yet don't worry because I believe they are still trying to fill up the class. I will definitely be attending the Boston ABSN program :)
