Hello-
I wanted to start a thread for applicants applying for 2018. I recently applied and I am anxiously waiting for a decision!
Living on campus and looking for roommates as well!!!!
Hello! I was just accepted to the Worcester Campus this week! I also received my undergraduate from Texas A&M (I am a little worried about moving so far North since I have lived in Texas my whole life). I am planning on living on campus, so if anyone is looking for roommates, please let me know!A little about my application process:
I submitted my application through NursingCAS. After I submitted my application via NursingCAS, it took two weeks for my application to be verified (I believe it is quicker if you submit everything directly to MCPHS). On 2/14/2018, I received an email stating that my application was under review. I was just accepted to the school at Worcester this past Wednesday, 3/7/2018. It took exactly 3 weeks for me to hear back.
As for the required material, I know you need 1 letter of recommendation, transcripts from each school you attended, and a resume. I don't believe I submitted an application fee, but I could be mistaken. Also, you have the option to submit more letters of recommendation along with a personal statement (which I did).
Once you create your application profile on the MCPHS site, a list will appear on the left-hand side of your screen, which lists all the items needed to complete your application. Once they receive the items and process them (which could take up to 1 week), a check mark will appear next to the items. After they receive all the required items, you will get an email saying that your application is under review. And then you just sit back and anxiously await their answer!
I am so excited to meet everyone! Good luck to all those applying!!
Hi!!
I got accepted into the program at Worcester, too! So excited! I initially applied bc I read a lot of good things about it and saw it was rolling admission, but I'm planning on going to the info session/tour this Friday! Congrats on your acceptance! Have you visited the campus yet, or no?
Hello all!! congratulations to everyone accepted!!! I graduated from the Worcester campus in 2013! And I absolutely loved the program, honestly the program was difficult and what made the difference for me was the support and collaboration with my classmates! Form study groups and stick to people that you vibe with and put in the work! I'm now thinking about getting my master in Nurse education and considering coming back to MCPHS all the instructors were awesome! They all had their quirks but who doesn't. Anyway again congrats!!! Please feel free to ask me anything, I hope I can help answer some questions.

Hi! Where did most people complete their clinicals and where did you all work afterwards? Thanks
we went to alot of different places like Fairlawn Rehab, Kindred Hospital in Springfield, Umass memorial, ST VINCENTS HOSPITAL, these are just the ones i remember off the top of my head. I still keep in contact with some of my classmates. 1 got a medsurg position with the VA, another at st. vincents hospital then she went back to mcphs for her FNP and now she is a hospitalist NP in the ER, i know of one of my classmates that went directly into peds after graduating, and another that went in to labor and delivery. I did hospice and flu clinics for the first year after graduating then got into a hospitals new graduate RN position of a medsurg floor, stayed for 2 years then moved continued M/S for another 2 years now im about to transition to be Labor & Delivery RN, and also about to go back to school. its about how you network. if you want to stay in that area then nework during your clinicals. ask people if they will let you shadow them once you pass your nclex. its always easier to get a position once some part of your foot is already in the door.
Hi, there!
I hope it's ok but I just sent you a friend request on here! I have a bunch of questions about the program, how you managed your time, etc. I want to talk to someone who has already been through the program. I'm not sure if you can send private messages on here, but if not, is it ok if I give you my email?
