  1. How long after receiving acceptance notifications do you receive financial aid package?
  2. Wait I am unsure if the award includes summer 2019, I think Financial Aid may have misconstrued my question originally...? Do we apply again for Summer 2019 and Fall 2019? ... holy smokes this is so confusing. I think i will need to call them for some more clarity on this
  3. Additionally Dayna has shared that housing is only available on a space-available basis and that none would be available for the year
  4. I have been corresponding with them a bit about this already - I am still confused but this is what I found out:The financial aid is for the award year 2018 - 2019 so it is not inclusive of the total cost/aid of the program (I think it is missing Fall 2019). The Dix Scholarship would be applied to the first 2 semesters and the Simmons grant is allocated as such: 20% summer, 40% fall, 40% spring. Federal aid is divided by the 3 terms. (Not much federal aid is available to us as second bachelors degree students so this excludes us from a lot of federal/state grants). Hope this helps a bit! I'm definitely still trying to understand this financial aid thing too.
  5. Anyone start a facebook page? Or receive financial aid package in the mail?
  6. Did you or any of your classmates work per diem as a PCA during the program? What is the reality of being able to? I am hoping to so that I can get my foot in the door with one of the great local hospitals and hopefully get hired there after graduation! Thanks in advance for your help!! Also do you happen to know how the program compares to others in the area?
  7. I PM'd you! Nice to talk it out with someone in the same situation!
  8. Did anyone put down a deposit yet? / Anyone struggling to make a decision like me?? haha
  9. Hi @Longwayup - what are your thoughts on the quality of professors at Simmons? Ease of classes? Clinical locations? Any input on your experience would be extremely helpful!
  10. I may be faced with that option, I am hoping that my Simmons letter will arrive today! Tuition/ overall expenses are wild. Too bad I won't hear from my other (cheaper!) schools till March
  11. The program starts in the fall. Summer start would be for those that still need to take prerequisite classes before beginning the program in the fall.
  12. I'm currently in Boston, also applied to a few other schools just in case this school is too expensive/ I don't get in. Did you guys also receive an email on TCE?
  13. Oh dear, my status changed too! Fingers crossed for all of us!!
  14. The only thing I have heard is that the administration side is very, very disorganized. The link is a report on MA nursing education programs and lists NCLEX pass rates, which may be indicative of the quality of education at each school. Could be helpful Server Error | Apology | Mass.gov
