hello future nurses,
i went to the nursing seminar yesterday 05/06/08. even though i'm already familiar with the program requirements, i wanted to confirm whether or not the rumors of changes are true. looks like there are no notable changes this year. if i'm missing anything, please feel free to add on.
requirements for ranking: (50% of each)
- 12 most recent credits (no changes this year, but they are in the works and will probably happen next year)
- hesi composite score
lowest 2008 scores: (per: mr. m, counselor)
students ranked #116-120
hesi - 94.2 average
gpa - 3.68 average
deadline for 2009 admission: february 15, 2008
i met a few really nice people and invited them to allnurses. i know it's been helpful to me.

The Hesi scores may be higher, but if the lowest combined score this year is 93. Last year, the overall scores were a lot higher because I had a 93.50 combined score and ranked 233. Best chance to get in is score high on Hesi & high GPA. I think it is a disadvantage to the 1st year Hesi takers because you obviously can prepare better the second time around.

Hey Kakustak, I was just wondering how you figure out the combined score?
Thanks !
Hoot
And also, I really stink at trying to quote someone in my replys...Oh well, maybe someday...until then, I'll just smilie it :uhoh21::wink2::):nuke: !!!!!
Hi Hoot,
Take your GPA x 25 and divide by 2. Take Hesi score & divide by 2, then add them.
