MCC letter came today

Just to let everyone know. I know a lot of people have been waiting on them. I got in thankfully. It didn't have my ranking but said they are offering me admission to the fall term. Hopefully that means I can start in August. Good luck to everyone else.

Try not to work any more hours than you absolutely have to while you're in the program...I can only think of about five or six people in our group of thirty that are even attempting to work during nursing school, and I believe they all work only part-time. I'm not saying it's impossible, but the sheer volume of material covered at such a rapid pace will be even more difficult if you are working too. Many students have opted to take out private student loans to help with living expenses so they can concentrate on succeeding in nursing school...at least then they'll have their RN license when they're done-and will be able to afford to pay off the loan! :lol2:

Wow, I'm surprised only a few people in your class are working. It's such a struggle to make ends meet with the gas prices, food going up, and higher gas(utility) payments. Even with student loans they must have good providing significant others or generous parents. I'm working as many hours as I can pick up right now to have as big a safety net as possible. I have a mortgage and a wife and dogs to feed.

Oh, and I think everyone rated 6th because I did too.

All of us 6's need to have shirts made up or something! Honestly, I also can't imagine getting by without working, gas alone is like another rent or mortgage payment every month. And from what they say it will only get worse! Here's to all those who plan and/or have to work while attending nursing school, may it harden you like steel in a fire!!! Until next time Godspeed!!!
