MCC-August Start

I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread for those of us starting the program in August!

I am so nervous to start school! I would feel so much better if I knew someone else starting in August. Are we limited to what color stethoscope we can buy?? I bought a purple one but I know they are pretty strict about our uniforms?? Just wondering...

I'm starting to get nervous too! Maybe all us August starts can post what we will be wearing the first day so we can find each other. I am looking forward to meeting everyone!

I don't think there were any restrictions on color. I was looking at orange but decided on navy blue.

That sounds like a good idea! In case anyone was wondering...I called the bookstore this morning and the scrubs are supposed to be in this afternoon. I ordered mine in June and was waiting to hear something. Also wondering what shoes are good to buy?? I know they have to be all white.

So I'm wondering if I should head up to the bookstore today to pick up my scrubs?? I still need to turn it my physical forms and stuff...And I still need to buy books! I feel like our start date is creeping up so fast now haha

So the 16th is coming way too fast!!! Did anyone do the personal medical record yet?? I did look at the websites that they referenced in the syllabus, but they had standard forms on them. Is that what we are supposed to print and then fill out?? or are we supposed to make our own from scratch and just use those as reference?? Im kinda confused.:confused:

That's about as far as I got, looking at the website. I was so busy getting all the rest of the things we needed done that it did seem like our start date came very fast!

Ok Thanks! It is unbelievable how much stuff we have to do to get ready for school....Dont get me wrong, I am happy to be starting in August, but really??

Is it just me or does anyone else have a problem with sharing all of our personal health information with the teachers? I am wondering if we have to give them an accurate one or can we make up a fictitious one?

Shawn: It stays on the form that tipi27 linked, that we don't have to answer everything. Somethings are just too personal for everyone to know, so hopefully they will understand!

hey everyone! i'm an october start an i saw that you were talking about the personal medical report. i tried emailing them about it to find out if we just fill out that form or if we design our own like two weeks ago and never heard anything back so i guess we're on our own lol.
