Hey guys! I wanted to make a forum for all of us who have applied to the Arizona Mayo Nurse Resident program in March 2018 for the July 23rd start date. We can all share our anxiety and questions!

Is there anyone from out of state that has had their application move to step 2? Mine still says received and I am wondering if they just interview AZ residents first. Good luck to everyone!

I wonder if it is based on the day you applied. maybe the people who applied on the day it opened are getting "in review" - and that is how they are going through each application individually. what do you guys think?

I don't believe so because I was waiting for the posting to go up and woke up super early that morning so I could be one of the first applicants. That is why I am thinking they probably pick out and review local applicants first with connections to Mayo that have done clinicals/externships there. I am pretty sure it is all through that computer screening process that pulls out specific ones they are looking for in order to narrow down. I just hope most of us get a chance to interview!

I applied the last day it was open, live in the valley but have no connection to Mayo. I got my email on Monday. It's hard to say why others are taking longer than others.

I'm applying from out of state and am still on step 1. I also applied the minute the application opened so I'm not certain there's any certain way they're going about it. The wait is definitely rough!
