Mayo Nurse Resident Program March 2018

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hey guys! I wanted to make a forum for all of us who have applied to the Arizona Mayo Nurse Resident program in March 2018 for the July 23rd start date. We can all share our anxiety and questions!

Nope! I go next Monday. Congratulations!

is anyone still waiting on a call? (like me)

My application hasn't even moved to the review stage yet lol. So I'm in the same boat.

okay same. I have half of my friends that got an interview and only a few of us still have "application received" - I'm having a positive outlook for us!

I am still waiting also! Are you located in AZ or out of state?

I called Mayo HR the other day and they did say they got a lot of applications, but that they would be reviewing all of them and it usually takes a while.

I'm located in CA. At least there is still hope for the rest of us.

I feel like Mayo just won't get to all the applicants, and I dont even know how many they accept each time but this wait is so hard! Good luck to those of you who are interviewing now, let us know how it goes! I ended up interviewing and accepting a position with Banner, as I have heard great things about their training so I am thankful for that since I am out of state and cannot actually move until I have an offer.

I am so nervous to make this huge move to AZ! For those of you who live there, any thoughts or advice??

Megash, may I ask why you are looking into Arizona rather than stay in California? I was so stuck between the two because my sister lives in San Diego and I just love it there, but obviously the costs are a huge factor.

Congrats on accepting the job at Banner! What facility and unit will you be working on?

Hi there I'm thinking the same thing that my app is still in received status. I actually start at HonorHealth on Monday so am happy with decision and gotta believe that it is where I'm supposed to be. I'm now an oncology nurse and so excited. Good luck to all that have interviews í ½í¸Š

Thank you! So far I will be at Banner Gateway on a Med/surg unit, there were limited spots for East valley and I will be moving to south Scottsdale so I was placed the closest that was available. I have some time until I get everything settled so if there are other openings until then, I could be moved around before I actually start. If anyone is interested in the west valley locations I know they mentioned there were spots open. I would suggest reaching out to them otherwise your applications may just sit there.

Blc178 - congrats on your position with HonorHealth! Hope everything goes well!

California is just way too expensive to live and it is highly competitive for new grad jobs. I will be applying to Banner after I graduate in May and closer to NCELX. Did they have any pediatric positions open?
