Mayo Clinic 2018

U.S.A. Minnesota

Published

Hi everyone! I'll be graduating May of 2018 and got a job offer at Mayo Clinic, Rochester! I thought I would start a thread for all who are thinking of applying to Mayo Clinic and will be graduating in the spring or if you already got hired, you are welcome to share any thoughts on how to land a job there! Even though it is far away, I would like to start looking for potential roommates as well! :)

It's a medical cardiac floor! Let us know how the interview goes!

Specializes in NICU.

So both of my applications went from "application received" to "application in review." I also received an email for both jobs that my resumes were forwarded to the hiring managers. Did anyone else get this? I was wondering what kind of timeline I should expect. This was several days ago and was the most recent contact I had from them. Thanks!

Yes, that's just what happens whenever you submit an application. Next you will either receive a call for an interview or an email stating that while they were impressed with your qualifications, they have other more competitive candidates. But having your resume forwarded is not an indication one way or the other. Just confirms that HR is going to look at it. That email usually happens pretty fast after applying. Could still be a few days until you hear back.

bblondon, CNA that's when my tentative start date is too!!

Really? That's exciting!! That means we'll be in the same residency group!

Yes!! What floor will you be on again?!

I just accepted a position on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit! I'm moving from Washington state so I'm not starting until August 13th, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for finding a roommate? It looks like a reasonably priced place to live in general, but it might be nice to have a roommate! I'm excited to start working there soon and meet some of you!

Yes I received this too! We are in the same boat 😊 I have a few friends who were recently hired and they told me it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months to get a call for an interview. I'm hoping it's sooner than later!

Now all we have to do is pass boards :) Did you schedule your POPA? I got that email pretty quickly, but I haven't gotten the email yet to schedule an appointment with HR
