Hello! I wanted to create this post to communicate with others that are applying for Mayo Clinic's Summer iii externship. I saw that there were similar posts for previous years, and I would love to get to know others that are applying! Look forward to hearing from you all ?

Hey guys! Did anyone else receive an email from HR saying that their application was forwarded to the hiring manager and they will email us if selected for an interview? Based on what I've read about previous years, I didn't realize there was an interview process, so I wonder if they are doing things differently this year.

Hey! It’s just an automated email from their HR system applicants receive once they change your application status to under review. You get that with any position you apply to.

No problem! I used to work in HR so I know all too well how the systems work. Now I’m just anxious for the 29th!

Same here! I'm trying not to get my hopes up though since it's so competitive. It's pretty crazy that they go through all the applications and decide the top 100 by the 29th!

Same! I am thinking there’s no way I’m in the top 5% of applicants to get it. But you don’t know if you don’t try!

Hey ya'll! I just submitted my application last week and I'm nervous to see if I got in! My GPA isn't that great (cuz nursing school is HARD) but I work as a PCA and I think my essay was okay. Wish all of you luck!

Haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's kinda anxious about finding out this week if we move on. But while we still don't know anything for certain, might as well have fun and imagine the best case scenario! Besides, no matter what, everything is going to be okay. I wish you all the best of luck and am, still a little anxious, but also very excited for everyone.

Ahhh! I am so anxious too. I have a feeling they will send out emails tomorrow, basing it off of past years it has been Jan. 26-29.

No matter what happens, we all took our shot to apply and that is something to be proud of!

Same here! I keep checking the site to see if anything has changed, but it’s still the same. I remember reading in last years forum that if your “withdraw” button went away then those people got in.
