our math tests....

For our math tests, it is med. math and we must get a 100% to continue. You have up to 5 opportunities to get 100% (different tests are used for subsequent attempts, obviously). Whatever you get on the 1st attempt is counted into your class grade.

If you don't get 100% by the 2nd attempt, you have to meet with an instructor for remediation.

We have a test every semester. You have to pass 100%, or you can't enter clinical rotation. If you can't enter clincicals you get an F.

Going by the practice test we were given, I'm thinking our test (which is to be given tomorrow) will be only dosage calculations. We have two trys to get an 80 or above or be dismissed from the program.

Still, in the morning, soon as I finish getting dressed, I'm going to refresh all the basic math. I think I've gotten the hang of fluid/tablet calculations.

I hope!

Oh, and we have to take it every semester too. I heard (though it may not be true) that the 2nd year students took theirs this past Friday and that every single one of them failed it. :-(

NRS. LA LA LAND - where in California are you. What school?

We have to pass with an 80% or better - they gave us a sheet and told us to know our conversions. We're only getting 10 questions (with parts a. and b.) All medical dosages IV drips I'm beginning to dream of gtts/min. If you don't pass you're put into remediation and cannot go onto the floor until you've passed. You only get two tries or you're out.
