Not sure what rio is or math 142...I immediately think of rio Hondo in Whittier, CA and math 142 is trig at my college. It honestly all depends. I personally enjoy math and have thought of taking a few classes just for fun. Algebra 2 and trig were fun in HS and I've considered taking college level just for a fun challenge. If you suck at math, I wouldn't consider an accelerated version. If you enjoy math, it should be a good challenge.

Rio is a community college is Arizona. They offer a lot of online classes that can be completed in a short time.
I took stat with Rio and it was do able. As long as you can self teach yourself you should be fine.
I took MAT 142 (3 credits) online at PVCC during the summer (5 week class). I put off the math nursing pre-req as long as possible. The math was not difficult but the online format was rough. I watched a lot of youtube tutorials but not having an instructor to ask face to face questions to made it hard. Mat 142 was the first "B" I had gotten in my nursing pre-reqs. I recommend taking it in person if possible because you should be able to get an A in person.

Hi! I wanted to see if anyone had taken the accelerated version of Math 142 from Rio? Did you find the format challenging or was it okay? I do well in math but I haven't ever done the accelerated version and don't want to get in over my head as I have other classes I am doing as well!
Thanks!
