Massasoit Nursing Program 2019

Since there was topic started under the title "Massasoit Fall 2018" and it was extremely informative. I figured I would start a new topic for 2019 for all those who have applied to the Nursing Program at Massasoit so that we can all contribute and give eachother status updates on acceptance, scores, etc. I hope you call chime in.

Hello! I applied for the LPN to RN day program (2019)! I'm so anxious to hear back but after reading that thread from last year I'm doubting my rubric score... and the time frame of when we'd hear back. I thought in the information session they said we'd hear back by the end of March?

Hello! I also applied for the 2019 Full-Time Day Program @ Massasoit ? I know we have a ways to go until acceptance letters go out but I'm super anxious to hear back (I thought I was told early May but not 100% sure)!!! Fingers crossed that I get in! ?I really hope my rubric score is high enough. I didn't do as well as I'd hoped on the TEAS but I have completed all the pre-reqs with all As, except one B in A&P1 Lecture (got an A in the Lab though). Good luck to everyone who applied!! ?

What did everybody receive for rubric score before the letter? I didn’t do so well on the teas and I wish I retook it :(

I called and asked about a month ago and they told me it’ll be at least the first week of June which seems crazy if you have to sign up (and plan your schedule) for the bridge program.. may 15th sounds more promising

I also called last week and asked about the status. She told me the end of May. I also asked how many applicants applied thus yr, she said roughly 200 which means we all have 25% chance for acceptance as they only take 56 students. Good news is, since Quincy college just opened their nursing program again for this fall, maybe the applicants will withdraw their applications with Massasoit and return to Quincy? Which means less students to compete with

June seems a little bit too long to wait. I hope we hear by the beginning of May. How does everybody feel about their rubric scores?

I think we should find out by the end of May, the latest. Based on last year rubric score, I feel somewhat confident. My only issue is I kinda wish I retook the teas to get a higher score to be safe. Good luck to everyone and crossing our fingers

Are you guys referring to the LPN-RN bridge or the standard RN program? Just making sure I got the right info. I applied for the bridge program.. I got in the high 80’s on teas but my pre-reqs have a few b’s so we’ll see where that puts me. Ah so nervous- I just want to know! And yes I think the new program at QC will help thin out applicants but not for bridge program unfortunately as they won’t offer that for another few years.
