Massasoit Community College Fall 2021

Published

Hello,

I wanted to create this thread for folks who have applied to Massasoit Community College’s Nursing program for the Fall 2021 semester. How are things going for everyone?

Current and former students, do you have any feedback on this program for prospective students?

Thank you!

They told me June but maybe its because Im applying to part-time for LPN to RN???? Beginning  of April sounds better though ?

That makes sense! I applied to FT day so that’s probably why. They determine how many seats are available for LPNs after the first year is over.

Hoping you get in! I heard they’re sending out acceptances at the beginning of April. Massasoit doesn’t send out waitlist applicants or rejections until after that.

Oh I hope that’s the case! I also heard form previous year applicants  that often your major will change in degree works before you receive the letter ?

Hi, I hope we find out next week, it seems like every other college has sent out notifications already.  My last audit was on March 30th.  Keeping fingers crossed for everyone ?

I know! I heard back from Cape Cod Community already, and will hear back from MassBay early next week. Hopefully we'll hear something from Massasoit shortly! Notification was really late last year, due to Covid I assume.

Hi Everyone! I have also applied to the Fall 2021 FT Day program at MCC. What is everyone's rubric score? Mine is around 55, which based on previous years puts me on the line of admit/wait list. I'm currently in A&P II and Human Growth/Development; I wish I had taken them earlier to get the points for Fall (I'm making A's so they would put me at 65 points)! I heard mid-April is when we will be notified. Good luck everyone! ?

My rubric score is around 57. 55 is great though, and they will look at degreeworks to see where you’re at. I was in A&P II last Spring, waitlisted then accepted so I think you have a great shot, with your score already being so high!

my score is about 53 or 55 I think? I retook the TEAS and got better, but still a fraction away from the highest point bracket. That bummed me out a bit. I’m thinking I’ll most likely be waitlisted. I don’t want to be, but if I do I’ll just take a few courses to get A’s in and take the math and that will give me all higher points

Thanks for sharing! That's a great score! The total points that we could get are lower this year because they eliminated the essay and references. I just wish I had pushed myself last Summer to get started on A&P I during Summer Session II so I could have wrapped up A&P II in the Fall and that I had taken Human Growth over the Winter "mini-session!" C'est la vie! ?

It sounded like they are typically able to take a few people from the waitlist every year (obviously it depends on who drops before the year begins). Hopefully 55 is enough!

You still have a great chance at getting in. Remember, more points were awarded last year due to essay, but total points decreased to 72, trust me you're in the running.

I like your optimism! Thank you ☺️

I have 58 points and hope I never have to take the TEAS again.  Taking the TEAS at home was a nightmare with proctor issues etc.
