Which state should I get my license in?

U.S.A. Massachusetts

I am graduating in December from a BSN program & in my NCLEX review class they told us to start looking at applications and deciding which state to apply to get our licensure's in. I am a resident of Massachusetts, but I go to school in Virginia. I was originally going to apply for a MA license, but I heard there are not a lot of new grad jobs in MA. I was considering getting a Virginia license because it is a compact state and I would have more options for jobs. Do you all have any input on this? Which one would be a better idea? Thanks!

You have to be a resident of the compact state for it to be valid for compact status. If you're a non resident, it's a valid single state license.

Where do you intend to live following school? Your best bet would be to start applying for jobs as soon as fall semester starts and if you get an offer that's contingent on passing NCLEX, apply for licensure in that state.
