MASS job market for CNAs/LPNs

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Published

Hi, 28 year old male. But of background 28 year CT resident born and raised here. I love New England fiance and i wantee to move soith for a month, but squqshed when we thoight how much we miss the four season's.

I have over six year's health care experience, three year's in psychiatric care, three in the ER, and one in the OR. Current have a bachelor's degree in Justice and Law Administration.

Fiance has about three year's experience two year's of schooling for OTA, a year as a medical secretary, and just became a CNA. Currently has a Bachelor degree and starting LPN school in the fall.

I see a lot of job opportunities on INDEED for LPNs. Even saw an opening at Boston Hospital for a 40 hoour LPN spot. Coming from CT where very few LPN openings seems like a good market. I am still on the fence of whether or not should apply to LPN school or not. If I did LPN try to find opportunity to go back for my BSN.

Sew questions about Mass and nursing: What is the average CNA pay? I figure I could finish school as a CNA towards my BSN if didn't do LPN route.

What is average LPN pay in the state?

I know Austen Riggs, Stockbridge MA, is one of the number one psych hospital's in the U.S. ... How is the healthcare system in Massachusetts?

We are thinking of the north eastern corner of the state to move to, Peabody, Lowell, Andover, and so forth... Any nursing program's in the area for someone looking to bridge or go into a BSN program? Any associate degree program's? Is market mostly BSNs?

Appreciate any feedback, thanks have an awesome day!!!

Curious on feedback regarding Salem State I know they have a LPN to BSN program.

I heard Massachusetts has part time and evening program's, is that true. My concern with nursing schoololl is I like to continue to work. Our state we have only 2 part time evening program's, I think only 1 part time state run LPN program, and a partial part time BSN program.

Any feedback on Paramedic salary in Mass?

I know the CC in Worcester has an advanced placement for paramedics.

I am considering going LPN, but course load and work may be too much to do.

Paramedic is $5 000 cheaper and can be done quicker then the LPN route. What I like about Mass program's they have a lot of part time programs. In our state only have 2.
