Hi, I am new to this forum and I am wondering if anyone has graduated from mcc in lowell the 2 year rn program. Also if anyone is in the middle of the program or applying for it. I am applying for 2010 evening program. I completed my prereqs already. Didn't know if anyone had any thoughts bout it. Also what is a good bsn program to follow through with. Please reply with any thoughts or comments. Thanks. Erin

Oh Congratulations James! There is hope out there... I am 6 months behind you in the waiting process, I hope it really goes that fast, as well. Good luck in your Nursing journey... Lyn

Erindel-

Could you give me the info for the Nursing meeting? It turns out that I may be able to attend one of the sessions but I got rid of the letter, because I always work 10a-10p on that day, but I switched with someone and now I have the morning part off. Thanks

Hi lyn, it is next wed 4/7 in the assembly room in the federal bldg. It is either 2 sessions, 130 to 300, or 530 to 7pm. I am going to the one at 530. I hope u can make it... if not I can tell u what it was about.

That's great! I'm glad you found something. Is is close to where you live? Will you be doing ekg's and stress tests and the like? When do you start?

Hi, its about 25 min from where I live. I will be doing ekgs, holter monitors, scanning the monitors into the computer and interpreting the ekgs for abnormalities. I will take an arrythmia class to learn how to read the ekgs which will come in handy with the job, as well as nursing in the future. I can train to do stress testing as well. I start in about 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to it....

Hey, how are you? I have a question for you... how much is each credit for the nursing program? I know it's more than regular classes, but I cannot recall the info right now. I'm trying to plan how to pay bills, mortgage, etc and how much school will cost roughly... thanks.

Hi erinlee! I'm doing well. I have a nursing info meeting wed. Its for qualified applicants who are still waitlisted. Its all the the program, and any ques needed to be asked, schedules, stuff like that. I also got a job finally... its as a cardio tech. I should start in 2 weeks. How's ur job? Did mcc send u anymore info about orientation or other stuff? U must be excited for that. Lyn, I only know the evening program credits are 300 dollars per credit which is expensive. Maybe I can find out at the meeting wed and let u know.....

So not to sound creepy, but I have been following this post for a couple months now; always debating whether to post. I was glad to read that someone was called after acceptance letters had been sent out, as someone on here said "there is hope". My completed packet was stamped for July of 09, and I have a girl in my Micro evening class this semester who was accepted for Evening 2010, and she did not complete her packet until May of 09. I am hoping Fall Evening 2011 will be my turn (like all of us here)!

Hi patno86, its ok to follow the thread, ur not creepy....lol. looks like u and I will be in class hopefully for evenings 2011. How is micro? I'm taking it starting june 1rst. I think I may be a little crazy for taking it in the summer but oh well. Is it really hard? What classes do u have left to take? I heard for the evening program its thurs and fri nites and clinical is on sat from 7 to 130. I hope we make it in for then. I really wanted to start this fall but its full already. Imagine getting called and being able to start earlier tho! That'd be great. Its nice to know someone else for the evening program because everyone I talk to is looking to start the day program.
