Hello everyone.

Im looking for any advice possible. I just got accepted into Marymount University's Accelerated BSN Nursing program and I am really happy to have been accepted somewhere. However, I was wondering if anyone knew anything good or bad about this university and program. i keep browsing websites but can find any good "insider" material about the program. anything would help, information on costs, the area, the teachers, nclex pass rate, etc. i was just wondering what people actually had to say about it. thanks so much! hope to join this wonderful profession soon!

Congratulations too!

How about asking their nursing coordinator about the program's history and its graduates? You are going to be one of them before you know it. :)

I'm from the area so I might be able to fill in a few blanks there.

Marymount is located in Arlington, VA. Arlington is a pretty densly packed city right across the river from Washington DC. I always hated driving through there cause I always got lost and ended up calling my hubby :chuckle

It might be best if you get to know the metro before classes start. From what I understand there is a metro stop (subway if you don't know the area) near the university so that might make it easier for you to get around to the sites.

Its kind of a neat city if you can stand the hussle and bussle. There is alot of different cultures there and alot to see.

Hey Mary, I just got accepted to MU's accelerated BSN program too! Still making decisions and have a lot to think about. Did you decide to go?

Hi maryvu. I start at Marymount this fall and I live in NoVA. The school has a fairly high reputation and was my first choice. The area is nice, but on the expensive side. You have to be careful in the DC metro area, but no more so than common sense careful. As for the program, I've heard nothing but good reviews from most people I've asked. I'm excited to start there this fall!

Good luck!
