Marymount University 2018

Published

Hi,

I'm applying to Marymount university's traditional BSN program for next spring (application is due this summer). I have around a 3.0 GPA and am taking the TEAS soon but I have great recommendations and volunteer work. I'm very nervous my GPA will hurt me and I won't get in. Can anyone tell me their stats and if they got in or not? I'm thinking if I don't get in I'll retake a couple classes and apply for the accelerated program so I can hopefully graduate around the same time. So any advice you guys can give me on admissions at Marymount would be amazing! Thank you!!

Has anyone heard back yet for traditional BSN program acceptance/denial letters? I was told we should know by the end of this week, but I'm not sure if that's pertaining to local mail or all...because I'm in upstate NY.

Specializes in Postpartum.

I looked at my application this morning and it says "submit deposit" so I think i got in!!!

Mine does too! I called admissions and asked if that meant acceptance into the program and they said yes!! CONGRATS! Looks like we'll be seeing each other in a few classes come Fall semester! I look out for a "Maria" :)

I just received my acceptance letter on the 27th. I'm still waiting to hear back from some more schools before I decide if I'll accept the offer though. Does anyone know if I can find out if they're going to accept of all of my prerequisites or need to take any? It pretty much factors into whether or not I accept.

If you got an acceptance letter, doesn't that mean that you meet the prerequisite requirements? Congrats though! What other schools did you apply to?

Thank You! I'm not sure if that's how they do it. I applied and got into Carlow University in PA and they accepted me but my acceptance is contingent on me completing the prereqs. I also applied to Duquesne, MCPHS, Rutgers, LIU-Post, and Thomas Edison State

I think unless Marymount specified that your acceptance is contingent upon you completing the prerequisites, then I think they already transferred over and you are officially accepted into the program. Based off of my understanding, it seems like they accepted the prerequisites already!

Did you apply with your bachelors degree already completed or are you still in progress in competing your first degree?

I'm still in the progress of completing my first degree. I actually graduate this Friday

How long after the enrollment fee was posted on your account did you get an official email or letter? That showed up on mine today and I'm dying to hear something else from them.

Hello all! I am a from Maryland and I plan to hopefully start BSN nursing school in the spring at Marymount. I have a teas score of 64.7 and a GPA of 2.9. I take chemistry this summer. I dont know if I'm a good candidate but what can I do to higher my chances of getting accepted?
