After following the Fall '09 thread with great interest, I thought it might be time to start a new thread for the Spring '10 applicants since we're inching closer to the Sep 1 deadline. I have a technical question for those who have applied before. I submitted my CNL application online this morning and paid the $50 and now it seems like my application has slipped into a vortex that I don't have access to. When I log onto SURFS to check my status, the only option that it gives me is to submit a new application. Is there somewhere else on the website that I should be looking to confirm that my application has been submitted and is pending review or awaiting additional information (transcripts, recommendations, etc)? Perhaps there is a delay between when the application is submitted and when the status is visible?
Best of luck to all the other applicants...now the agonizing waiting game begins! Looking forward to giving each other support and encouragement on this thread.
so today was not i thaught it would....i did great in my micro exam, and first day of unknown was not bad either!...i think i have an idea of what the bacterias are already.... neway.....talkin about wait listing....i just think we should not expect anything till friday...that way we would not be tormented by the "commitee ready" status...i hope this wait would be worth it for us all!!!
OK, I tried really hard but there are limits. All I can tell you is that I know there are more committee review meetings tomorrow (Wednesday), probably late, which means those results won't come out before Thursday. So, for those of you who have not heard, there is still hope. And, no, I don't know if that means both CNL and BSN. I feel as though I have been on this roller coaster with you. Wish....wish...wish I could be more help.

thank you grey lady~! u've been more than anyone can imagine here. but....
i just need to RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE for a lil bit!
So.... UMB's having another committee review meeting today and a few applications will be notified tomorrow.... that means it takes about a day to pick a few. since last week was the first time someone got accepted into the 2010 spring class, therefore.... they didn't even start looking at our applications until last week???! or am i being too simple minded?
Rest assured they have been reviewing applications all along since Sept. 1. It involves a lot of people and a lot of time. I have heard from current students that they know of one or two BSN students who found out (by phone call) the day before yesterday that they have been accepted. Try not to read too much in to the limited information we have on this thread - none of us has the entire picture of what is going on. Hang in there!! Hoping that good news is about to find you!
I trust everyone on here - and sincerely appreciate GreyLady's input, but I needed my own varification - in case I didn't hear anything tonight or tomorrow...:smackingf
so i called admissions today - "we extended the deadline and are working through those add'l applications. You will know an answer BEFORE THANKSGIVING." that's a direct quote.
As a result, i have come to the conclusion that the word "Shortly" means less than 11 business days...in our case - 2 weeks/15 days of uncertainty.
So as my hopes for admission feel a bit fleeting i am consoled by the fact that if i am admitted and am short on cash, I can now tell the registrar that my check is in the mail and my tuition will be there "Shortly":jester:
if the sun is out where you live -- get out and breath

Can't blame you for feeling that way but, if this helps, your tuition bill won't be generated until you register for classes and even then, it is not due until the week before classes start in January. At least that is how it has always been.

i think we brought down the system...oops. ok fineee I'll leave it alone till tomorrow. haha
Actually they were doing maintenance on the system late yesterday - it's back up now. Oh, and in case anybody was worried about my safety at the Information Session last night, I emerged unscathed. I think some of them even liked me.

I think we've all been unofficially "waitlisted" by this process!
