Maryland BON???

U.S.A. Maryland

Published

I was talking with a friend over the weekend at our reunion, she stated she is having trouble getting her license from there. She filed the papers weeks ago, she is sure everything was complete and correct but she still has no license and can't get a straight answer as to the hold up. Is this normal for the BON? I thought Maryland was a walk thru state? She wants to work per diem and visit with a daughter who is married and lives up there. I am wondering if nursing is in such good shape up there the BON sees no need to fill requests for license quickly? Any comments?

Maryland is a walk through state. But from what I have read on this website, they are very difficult to contact via phone.

Getting an answer from the BON is like hitting the lottery- if it happens you will be in complete shock.

My only saving grace has been that it's 10 minutes from me...I just went over there and bugged them when I needed my answers.

I have found them to either be really quick and helpful or they completely blow me off no inbetween here. :uhoh3:

They are S-L-O-W. Like someone else said, its impossible to get through to them on the phone.
