Have you checked the nursing agency's and the hospital websites?

Good luck with the job search. I have also been looking for the past few months and most places are not hiring new grads, period. I would recommend looking into homecare agencies, although most require a minimum of 6 months experience. I was lucky enough to interview for a new agency in the Baltimore area and am currently going through the hiring process. All of the positions were filled after about two weeks, it's tough out there! Lots of competition.

Hi,
If you don't mind relocating/commuting,Children's medical center, children's hospital DC is hiring. I saw some openings on their website today. Check rn1 and rn11 positions.

I accepted a position in Randallstown, MD just north of Baltimore at Northwest Hospital. They were very enthusiastic and helpful to me. They have a fantastic new grad program and everyone is so helpful.

Congratulations! How long had you been looking for a job? What unit will you be working on?
Thanks! I started calling every hopsital in the DC/MD/VA/Balitmore region over Christmas Break. Alot of places implied I was too early and some told me when I should call back. I also applied to a few at time time. I accepted the job in March so I only looked for about 3 months or so. The position is in the IMC.

Quick question, when the hospitals say that they want RN's with 2 years of experience, does that mean 2 years of experience as an RN? would they even consider a person that has experience as a tech or back ground in the military? or does it have to be RN experience?

Guys, I saw quite a few summer internships at AdventistHealthcare. Please look into them.
And to answer your question, Chul Soo, I don't believe military or tech experience counts as the 2 years that employers are looking for, however, don't let that stop you from applying.

Some RN Homes are hiring now and Sinai is starting to hire new grads again (need a BSN).
