Marquette University Direct Entry

Anyone on here applied to Marquette University Direct Entry program? Summer 2015?

Thanks for emailing! Hopefully we will hear within the first week or so of March

has anyone heard back?! Karen told me the start of march!

NoPe, nothing yet.

Any news yet??

I haven't heard anything yet... I hope I find out one way or the other this week. I'm surprised it has taken this long

I called admissions yesterday and they told me that they have not sent out any decisions yet. I think it's strange, too, considering the program starts May 31st! I'm hoping to hear something soon, since I live across the country.

That's good to know at least! Thanks for sharing :) Did they say when we could expect to hear from them? That is stressful! Where would you be moving from? My husband and I moved from Seattle to Chicago for his program this past summer :)

Yes, from Seattle! They didn't, I asked and she said she couldn't tell me when, but that it has been delayed due to their transition to NursingCAS. I honestly am not that hopeful, I didn't get into Seattle U or University of Minnesota :( but it's okay, I started my prerequisites kind of late, so it is a bit of a long shot and I'll likely reapply to all the same programs next year. Did you apply to other programs?

Hey guys,

I also e-mailed last week to see what was going on. They said "sometime" in March the first round of decisions will be sent out via e-mail. They are backed up due to the new system, NursingCAS. So, last week they were still unsure when they will be sending out the acceptances. :(

I alo applied to Northeastern University, but didn't get accepted to the direct entry program. They only accept 26 applicants. I also applied the their ABSN program and still waiting to hear back. Hopefully soon because the program also starts in the summer.

Another Washingtonian! :) Where did you do your undergrad? And I applied to direct entry programs at Elmhurst (accepted), UIC (waiting), Depaul (waiting), and Marquette (waiting). I hope you get good news from Marquette! It's such a stressful process and I really feel like the waiting is the worst part. Have you ever considered Depaul or Rush? If you don't get in this cycle, they both have winter cohorts too I believe.

I figured it might be because of the switch to NursingCAS. Do you guys think they will wait two weeks between rounds of acceptance like they have in the past?

She told me that students will have "around" 10 days to respond. Then they send another cycle until they reach 56 students. I believe 14 days is too long and that means round 3 acceptances will not even know until end of April.
