Marquette Direct Entry MSN 2018

Hey guys, I didn't see a thread for Marquette's direct entry MSN program for fall 2018 so I figured I'd start one. I just submitted my app for the PP location today for their spring admission, but I am also applying to Marquette's traditional program for fall 2018. Do they review applications based off date submitted or date verified?

I still haven't heard back yet from the Milwaukee site, but congrats to everyone who was accepted! I was already rejected from the PP site so my hopes aren't too high for Milwaukee either. Fingers crossed that I get in and can meet all of you, but if not good luck in school!!

arani92 I don't know how many seats are left, but the list of recipients from the email I got yesterday said there were 13 of us who had confirmed for our class so far and there should be 56 students total. I would assume competition is higher for PP because there are fewer seats available?

Well that makes me feel a little bit better haha. I was told that a lot of the seats for PP for spring were filled from applicants from fall of 2017 that were previously admitted, and by the time my application was reviewed (in November) there were only two seats yet. But some people were offered admission to start at PP in Fall 2018, so I take it they're going to continue to have the same problem. I'm finishing up my last pre-req right now so I bet that's why they haven't made an admission decision for me yet. But my stats are comparable to those who've been recently admitted so now I'm even more anxious to hear back!!

I am in the exact same situation as you! So nerve-wrecking! I emailed Taylor today about the situation, because my professor hasn't responded to me whether or not he has sent my grade in and I have done all that I could do. I am getting anxious with spots filling up!

halle092, I just had my instructor email Karen my final grade this morning, so I'm hoping I get an answer by the end of this week. Fingers crossed! I got into another grad program that starts in January, so I just really hope they give me a decision one way or the other in the next two weeks so I can solidify my plans and whether or not I need to keep my job lol

I'm new to this thread and was accepted to the May Milwaukee cohort a few days ago! I am so excited about this but am waiting to hear back from a few more schools. The direct deposit is due on January 6th which is before admissions decisions come back from any of my other schools (early February). Anyone else in this position? I'm not sure I'm comfortable submitting a 500$ non-refundable deposit before evaluating my decision against other schools completely.

mbrnurse I'm in the same boat! My direct deposit deadline was December 9th and I'm still waiting to hear back from other schools in late January/early February, so I went ahead and accepted my Milwaukee spot by paying the deposit. Milwaukee is probably my second choice, so I like the program but if my first choice sends an acceptance letter, then I'll have the decide if that's worth losing the deposit I already paid.

arani92 How did you ask your professor to send your grades to Karen? Is it just through a regular email where they say what the grade was (no official transcript needed)?
