Maricopa Waiting List / Placement / Timestamps 2010+

U.S.A. Arizona

Hey everyone, I wanted to start a place for people to post and repost about waitlist times, placement runs, and their timestamps.

It is very hard searching for all the information and maybe people will access this thread and keep it updated with information so we all can get some idea on where we stand in line for Maricopa Nursing Placement.

As for me I have a

6/11/10 8:01:32 Timestamp. The placement just ran on March 6th,2012 and I was not placed. On the application website it says that the placement did NOT reach the June timestamps. This will mark 5 semesters that I was not placed (was expecting a 3 semester wait)

I am curious how far the placement ran. If people that were placed during the last placement run (3/6/12) come across this thread and would be willing to post their timestamp and what school choice number (1 through 5) they were placed in that would give an indicator how far away it is.

With almost 2500 people still on the waiting list it looks like it can be a 4-5 year wait for people just now getting on it. :(

Look forward to chatting with all of you and good luck.

I got placed today for my first choice! I got into MCC traditional and my time stamp was 10/14/2011 8:02:16

Good Luck everyone!!

Hello guys, it is my first time here. I wanted to let you know I got placed into my third choice-Gateway evening. My time stamp was 12/16/2011 08:01:53. I am extremely excited, it was a looooong wait! I have not received any e-mails or information yet. Can you please tell me what is my next step? Am I supposed to wait for information by mail, or is there a place to look up information? Thank you very much in advance, and good luck to everyone!!!!!

My timestamp is 10/14/2011 @ 08:01:15. I was placed on December 6th, 2013 for Gateway to start Spring 2014 (January) but I deferred. I was placed today at my first choice, Mesa Traditional. :)

@nurse2bejeanette - You need to accept your placement. You can do this online but you also must fax or snail mail your SIGNED intent form. It'll come in the mail. As for everything else, you'll get an email. I got one with the entire student handbook including instructions for everything attached in PDF format not long after I was placed at Gateway in December. :)

AZMama86, Thank you so much for that info, I did accept placement! Congratulations on getting into Mesa, it was one of my choices too :) Good luck :)

I got placed! I deferred it last semester and got placed at my first choice, Chandler-Gilbert for fall. 10/14/2011 08:01:27AM timestamp

I was placed too!! Time and date stamp10/14/2011 8:03

Anyone else have MCC traditional!?

Timestamps as in how long u have been on a waiting last to get into the nursing program??

@faithHOPEloveRN-I got Mesa traditional too! :)

@gamez28 - Yes, when you apply for the Maricopa nursing system, you are given a time stamp and placed on a waiting list. It was taking 2-3 years to get placed for the people who applied a few years ago. Now with the CEP, I've heard it's taking more like 3-3.5 years to placed for the regular non-CEP programs.

Omg that is CRAZY!!!!!! Thanks for the info

AZmama86- is that after all pre reqs are complete or can u be added to the list before??

It's after all pre reqs are completed. You cant apply without completing them first. You can, however, wait to take the co req classes for while youre waiting so your course load wont be so rough when you get in. You can also take the CEP pre reqs after getting on the list if you want to take that route. Or you can take the RN-BSN pre reqs (that's what I did) while waiting to get in so you can bridge to BSN after graduating/passing NCLEX.

@gamez28... What mrsboots97 said. I got all the pre-reqs done, got on the waiting list in October 2011. I started taking the co-reqs so that I could focus on the nursing program when I got in, then I moved onto the NAU CEP pre-reqs (the same as the NAU RN-BSN classes). I was a single mom of two kids and work full time so the CEP was never an option for me because of not having much time until a few months ago when I met my amazing husband. I will be done with my last CEP pre-req in 6 weeks and I'm applying for the CEP in May, so since I'm already placed in the regular program, I'll have my choice between the CEP and traditional program. Hope that helps!
