Maricopa RN Time Stamps for 8/6/15

Published

Hi!!! I was hoping we could share our time stamps! I received 8:00am and 9 seconds. I'm hoping to go to MCC for the traditional morning session. Anyone else got their time stamp today? :)

Haha! They told me that info when I applied. We shall see!

Is there a way to find out which timestamps were just placed?

They wont give exact timestamps because those don't matter so much due to how they place. But, they may be able to tell you what the latest month that was recently placed was and if there are still a lot of people waiting from before that. People who can only do night or weekend programs typically wait the longest because they are smaller classes and popular for those who work day jobs. But picking the other schools is pretty much the same wait around the board from what I understand. But only if you have multiple options. A program could be a popular choice one semester but not the next. So having more programs selected give the most chance to be placed the earliest. But if only one program will work, then by all means only put that program or you wold have to use your one deferral if you are placed in a program you cant atttend anyway.

The placement page has been rather unhelpful this go around. In the past, they leave little messages with each placement saying which month they have placed through to give the applicant an idea of how much longer they have. But there really havent been too many updates this go round.

As far as the 700, that doenst mean much for wait time either if you only look at the 240 somthing open spots. There are actually more around 500 placed each semester. They just arent all shown on that page. Most of the schools have partnerships with hospital systems. People within those hospital systems get essentially front of the line passes and are placed earlier. The people placed through a hospital partnerships are not included in the number on the placement page. Also, CEP students are taken out as well. For example, SCC can take 90 students per placement cycle. But on the placement page only 40 or 50 spots are shown. The partnership and CEP students have been deducted from the 90 and the remaining show up on the placement page. It is like that for more than half the programs shown. Also, a large amount of people applid to the waitlist as a backup and were then accepted to a university program. Others will move or decide nursing is not for them. So there are actually less than the 700 that someone was told if you account for those that will not reaffirm or will not accept placement. So with knowing that, the wait could easily be only one semester for many applicants that have more than night or weekend programs selected.

Good luck with the wait future student nurses. I am going into block 4 starting this week at SCC but I remember the wait (mine was 2.5 years) clearly and how much it sucked. I also remember not being able to find many answers to my questions so I try to give input where I can.

You are amazing!!!! Thank you for all of that!!!!! I will definitely pay it forward once I'm accepted and in the program. I really appreciate it. Enjoy your time in block 4!!! You're almost done!!!!! :)

6/6/2014 8:00:53 is my time stamp, and I was selected for the fall 2015 start. I have deferred the placement in hopes of getting in as a CEP student. Your wait may not be very long.

Where did you get picked to start?

If my time stamp was for 8/6/15 would it be possible to be placed for spring and then be able to defer for CEP fall 2016?

I called today and was told the most recent timestamp date placed for fall 2015 was February 2015.

So that's about a semester, it seems.

Yeah, I assume I'll be waiting a bit longer since I need an evening program.

That is fabulous news. I wonder what school that was for??

I was accepted for the pilot program at Mesa Community College for the evening classes.
