Sorry if this is a repeat topic, but hoping to "meet" other applicants hoping to start their online university classes in Fall 2017 and CC in-person nursing blocks in Spring 2018.

Hi, this is my first time posting. I am going in to apply tomorrow for Glendale CC nights and NAU. I talked to an advisor 2 weeks ago and she told me to get my ASU transcripts because I'd get an extra 4 points for having a previous bachelor's degree.

Is it 4 points for a Bachelors? That's good to know. I assume an AA is 2 points then?

I don't know...the entire points system seems shrouded in mystery! LOL

I don't know if they do, but it certainly can't hurt. I believe you get 1 point for a previous Associates Degree, and 2 for a Bachelors, 3 for Masters and so on.

WoooooHooooooo! I submitted my application! Last day to submit is May 31st for a Spring start (although if you're applying for the CEP, your University courses will likely start Fall 2017). The advisor told me that they expect to be done looking through all the applications sometime towards the end of June, and that applicants should hear something early to mid July. Mid to late July will then be a mad dash to get everything in place for the Fall semester!

And the wait begins....good luck to everyone!

I have finally submitted my application for Spring 2018!!! I'm so happy as this has been a long time coming. I first started taking the pre and coreqs in 2012 but I have everything done for the NAU CEP program. Union-Jack did you apply for the day or evening program at GCC? I applied for the evening and then weekend program because I have to continue working during school and I have a daytime job.

So the advisor told me we should probably hear back in late June. My fingers are crossed that I get in this time around and finally start nursing school! Good luck to everyone else as well!

Hi Jem323 - Sounds like we submitted on the same day! Many congrats! I actually decided to apply to Estrella as my first choice in the end. The drive is a little closer and easier for me. I put GCC traditional as my second choice and Phoenix as my third, so unfortunately our paths are unlikely to cross in school. I wish you the very best of luck getting in - be sure to keep us updated!! I'll be watching my Maricopa email like a hawk come late June/early July!! LOL

Submitted my application yesterday! I chose morning MCC 1st choice with ASU as UNI, and CGCC day as 2nd choice.

I heard from MCC adviser that we should hear back by July 31st, both acceptance and denials.

So excited!!

Who else is applying MCC AM/ASU?

Hey guys are we supposed to get a confirmation email once our cep applications are in the system or do we not hear anything until July 31?

I haven't received anything - although I did sit with the advisor and she showed me on the computer that my application was in the system for the general nursing pool. My suggestion is that you (we) follow up with the CEP application - I've read several posts on here where the CEP application papers "got lost"....

I plan to follow up in shortly (before the May 31st deadline) to be sure it's in the system.

I submitted both the CEP and the CC Nursing application yesterday at Glendale CC for the weekend program. I did not get a time stamp or anything for the CC application, and am not sure if that matters but I see lots of people talking about it.

Anyways, I submitted CC for only the weekend program as I work 10 hour shifts during the week. As far as University I put ASU, UIU, and Ottawa so we'll see what happens!

The time stamp should be on your application. It's just a way of them knowing exactly when you submitted your paperwork, I think. I got one on my application, but she didn't "give me" my timestamp.

Hm, I didn't get my application back. They took both of them.
