Well, we are about a week into the application period for the next CEP placement. Figured now is a good time to start this thread as I'm sure applications will start flooding in after the current semester ends.
Hoping to apply (first time) to NAU/CGCC with right around 82/100 points.

My question: if seats are filled at Simon's school choices (1st GCC/NAU and 2nd EMCC/NAU), will they offer him another school before placing students with a score lower than his? We are just trying to understand the process.
Her Response: If a student is near the end of the placement cycle (78.8 was the last score we were able to place), there is a likelihood a student will not be placed if all three Maricopa schools the student selected are full.
GCC is probably full because my daughter selected GCC as her first choice and she got accepted into PVCC which was her second choice.
Did you indicated that you would take days or nights at GWCC? That could have made a difference as well.
Yeah I did anytime for both, so basically pick community schools that many people arent doing to better chances? GCC is too competitive because everyone wants it.

I was accepted to the Master's program at PCC (Tucson)/ GCU. Mind if I PM either of you?

That’s awesome! Which PA program are you applying to? I haven’t received an answer about the CEP so I’m assuming I’m not in...
I haven't received an acceptance letter or a denial letter yet for CEP... I'm just curious, if I don't get a denial letter this week, did I get in and they are still placing me, or working on sending me an email? From what I read on the website, students being placed will start on feb. 25th and letters will be sent out until all seats are filled, however, denial letters have a set week that will determine non placement.... did anyone else not receive any letter yet?
P.S. I had a score of 78.97/100

I haven’t received anything yet, I’m honestly thinking I didn’t make it in. I applied with 77.1 points.

My contact person said this about the schools " The west and north valley schools seem to be the first to fill. Phoenix College and GateWay were the two who filled later in the process".

I received this response from a contact at Gateway who overseas the MCC schools nursing program: "If a student is near the end of the placement cycle (78.8 was the last score we were able to place )there is a likelihood a student will not be placed if all three Maricopa schools the student selected are full".
So that last student that was placed has a score of 78.8. If you scored less than that, you are unlikely to get a place. I hope this helps. May not be the answer you wanted though.

Students who received offers have a specific time ( I believe 2 weeks) to either accept or reject MCC/CEP offer. If students turn down their offer, that spot would be open for another student. Hope this helps.
