Maricopa CEP (Summer 2019 Start)

Updated:   Published

Well, we are about a week into the application period for the next CEP placement. Figured now is a good time to start this thread as I'm sure applications will start flooding in after the current semester ends.

Hoping to apply (first time) to NAU/CGCC with right around 82/100 points.

I'll be applying for mcc/asu not sure of my score yet with 3 grades still missing but somewhere between 83 and 86 pts from what I've calculated depending if I hold my A's or take B's. What about you?

What classes are you currently taking? I will be applying with an 84. Not the best but definitely not the worst. Are you apart of any of the facebook nursing groups? You can ask questions and there is a post with everyone's scores who got in last round. ?

No I'm not which do you recommend, an 84 sounds solid with what I've been reading. I take my bio 201 final tomorrow, I've then got 8 weeks left in chemistry and will be starting the 8 week bio 202 class on Monday.

I am in the 'Maricopa Nursing Program - U.S.A'. I really enjoy being apart of the group although I am still a new member. How has BIO 201 been treating you? And are you taking all the classes through Rio? That is a pretty heavy work load - good for you!

I was told by my advisor that the lowest score placed for Spring was an 83.8. Did anyone get in with a lower score than this? I'll be lucky if I apply with a score above an 82.

I saw people getting in with as low as 78! Its all about schools you pick not being full too.

Do you have any recommendations of which schools to pick? We live in the east valley, so I would like CGCC but I don't know how competitive it is there. I am applying for the GCU MSN program, but I was told the maricopa school is the one that matters.

I am reapplying for CEP and Maricopa is what matters. All I know is Phoenix schools are packed so CGCC I feel would be a good bet. I have 80.8 put of 100 so we will see. Good luck for your program!

I applied to CGCC this past round and did not get in...my rubric points were 83.7. Granted every round has different applicants, but CGCC has one of the lowest numbers of student placements (from what the advisor told me, they only had 32 seats in the cohort while most other schools have 36-45 spots open in each cohort).

I would ask advisor for other schools since they take more. I know the MSN program is a bit different and probably more competitive since its masters. I think the other schools where people dont apply as much would be best bet so just ask about which schools ?
