Maricopa CEP (Summer 2019 Start)

Well, we are about a week into the application period for the next CEP placement. Figured now is a good time to start this thread as I'm sure applications will start flooding in after the current semester ends.

Hoping to apply (first time) to NAU/CGCC with right around 82/100 points.

Specializes in Med/surg.

So we should all know by late February/early January right? I’m so nervous. I feel like I’m just in the middle of the pack with an 84.9 so idk it seems like it’s a 50/50. I saw a lot of people get accepted with 20 points on the last application cycle and I had 21. I feel like I’m not benefitting from this new system like I thought I would. Does anyone know the average acceptance rates of these programs? What schools are more competitive than others?

This was my convo with my advisor last week! I messaged her to make sure my application was submitted and this was the outcome! Looks like we might not be finding out till the end of March. First message is my advisor, second is me, third message is my advisor again.

Oh cool okay. I meant to say early March on my post xD. What was your score when you sent in your app? And where did you apply?

OMG I was so hoping someone had this thread. I am soooooo nervous because the new rubric. I go to apply tomorrow for GCC/ASU and IF my calculations are right, I will be applying with 82/100. If not, I will come back tomorrow and correct.

The adviser told me today that starting at around 77 points, that is where it becomes "competitive". Anything high 80's and above, you basically made it and know you are going to get accepted.

I applied with GCC and Gateway CEP with Ottawa. 80.27 points

I'm glad I'm not the only one! This is going to be the longest month ever! I ended up applying with between 83.2-83.6 points depending on how they calculated my cumulative GPA. I have seen a lot of really high scores, so I am praying that my scores will be good enough to make the cutoff. According to last years rubric, I also would have had 21 points...
