Maricopa CEP Spring 2021 (Applicants for May 1st- June 2nd)

Published

Hey everyone! I know we're a few weeks out til applications are accepted, but I figured I'd kick this off sooner than later. Who's applying for the CEP program next month?

They pushed the application dates back due to the COVID 19. Are you guys having any trouble talking to an advisor?

Where are you guys going to apply?

GPA?

HESI scores?

Overall points?

I'm applying to EMCC first choice, GCC second choice, and PCC third choice with ASU.

GPA 3.61

HESI Eng 91.33

HESI Math 98

No prior degree

Overall points 82.77

Does anyone know or have any idea how our nursing classes are going to be implemented during the pandemic?

Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell right now. From what I can gather, fall is online but they are trying to do in person sim labs? It’s still a bit unclear because the situation keeps changing. And who knows when hospitals will start allowing clinicals. Hopefully things will be closer to normal when we start in the Spring ?

I assumed as much. I think the fall semester for our cohort is always online... at least that's what it looks like when you go back and read the CEP info packet. But I think other nursing programs/universities have only been able to convert a portion of their clinicals to sim labs. I kind of wonder what happened to the nursing students who started this past January.

I am. I’m hoping since there’s usually more than one round of letters maybe there’s still hope.

Where did you apply and how many points?

Mine too - but I just re-read the contract where it said we needed to apply to the university and I just automatically went into panic mode! ?

I got accepted through EMCC with GCU also. Matt’s email stated there was nothing needed as of right now and he would reach out the 7/20. Maybe you can start the application process??‍♀️

CONGRATS Classmate!

I'm thinking about contacting him so I know how long the process is going to take and what specific documentation we need. I also want to ask how and when we're going to start clinicals (or sims) with the pandemic.
