aint sure if there is already an existing march 2011 test takers' support group. nonetheless, i ought to just create one.. study tips and advices, as well as encouragement, motivation, support, and prayers from each and everyone of us may play a big role in our preparation for this battle. let's all be rn's!! good luck to us!! may the good lord be with us all in our way to passing the nclex!!

I am not sure when your test is, but one thing that has helped me to FINALLY get going is to make sure I mark on my calendar what I have done for the day, each and everyday. I require of myself at least 50 questions, an hour of review and some physical exercise every single day. At the most that is only 2-3 hours. It makes me feel good to mark on my calendar that I did it. Usually getting started is the hardest part, and I almost always do more than my minimum, once I get going. I have to be really firm with myself!

I also make "cheat sheets" or cram sheets that I keep all over the house and I will review them whenever I have 5 minutes. I watch nursing videos and DVDs, too, when I am doing other things. I figure for these next weeks I can devote myself to preparing - then I will get my life back! Investment, tight?

You can do it!

hi! thank u for the tips! much much appreciated! my exam would be 3 weeks from now.. currently trying to finish to watch and learn from hurst review videos. i just finished half of it as of the moment. i wanna do practice questions but it bores me (though i know i should do them!) one thing that hinders me from keeping my concentration to study and come up with my daily goal is my 20 mo. old baby.. im the only one watching him 24/7..

do u have any suggestions on where to do practice questions? im choosing among saunders q&a, exam cram CD or ncsbn online..

Hi to all!

I have no date for the test yet but like you guys I try to study 50-100 a day and review my answers and wrong ones.

Any advise about review ATI vs. Kaplan, my school requires ATI but i bought Kaplan too, this 2 are totally different from each other! but it helps me both. Should I stisk to it and just do both?

- HI! i suggest you do questions as much as you can, most of the RN's from my work advises me that... actually 200 a day if possible. Good luck to u and me:)

my schedule

ive got 716 questions left and qbank 5, 6, 7

i think doing 150 a day is seriously just going to set me up to give up ..so ill answer 100 questions a day and an hour of the questions video......that should be a total of 4-5 hours a day (because it takes almost an hour to review each set)

if i have extra strength and time i will take aditional 50

with this schedule i should be done with the q bank by monday next week .

i will check in on this thread everyday till im done . (sucks that have to go to work from 6pm -12 midnight though)

good luck everyone we can do this !!!!!!!!!

oh and keep the browsing to a minimum :)

how long did it take everyone to get your ATT letter from the time you applied with the board of nursing???? I just applied on Feb.22

for those of you contemplating ...i think kaplan has the best practice questions.....i started with hurst and that was great for content but you REALLY NEED TO DO PRACTICE QUESTIONS this is the first time im seriously answering questions and i can see a major improvement.

you can't beat having almost 3000 HIGH LEVEL QUESTIONS

ATT reply they said takes 45-90 days but most of the people I know they got it in 2 weeks. So who knows.:)

Should be in two weeks, but since I applied second time around it took less than a week.

thanks so much for this!!!!

I'm taking Kaplan online & the course instructor just said it was no longer acceptable to use padded side rails to ensure the safety of a grand mal patient. (Apparently this is classified as restraint.) I always thought this was recommended practice. Am I wrong here?

how many of you have started taking the qbank questions . my goal is to take 150 a day but i am really struggling with that.

i need like 4 -5 people to sorta study with like support each other....for example after i finish a set of 50 or 150 questions a day i have to report back here and others will too.

im soo fagged out

also i noticed that once you get distracted mentally your scores go down ...its pretty much automatic for me ...so pls remove any distractors YOUR CELL PHONE

Yeah... I am doing the QBank too. I actually have been doing 100-150 a day. I am scheduled to take my exam 3/8 and have 20% of the QBank Completed thus far with a 62% average. Its tough, but I can speak from experience and state that I get a lot more studying done in environments away from home with the cell phone on Vibrate. I go to the library and use ear plugs. It works like a charm. :) May the force be with us. The passing the Nclex on the First time force that is :D
