How long did you have to wait to apply with the board of nursing.
thanks for the responses...I still dont know what to do. I feel like it would be ok to go ahead and apply with BON. I graduated at the first of this month and everything should be in order to register. Any other info will be helpful

How long did you have to wait to apply with the board of nursing.
What she said was that she sent in all of our information the day we graduated, but that the florida board of nursing would not allow us to apply wih them for thirty days.... im still a little confused as to what the whole process of applying with the board of nursing all the way to getting my ATT letter is. I just feel like we are probably already in the system and it would be ok to apply now,but our director said if we do it now and our name isnt in the computer system we will lose the money we pay. Tell me how long you had to wait to apply after finishing an LPN program

How long did you have to wait to apply with the board of nursing.
I just graduated from the LPN program the first of this month and our director told us we will have to wait thirty days to even apply with the board of nursing. Im confused and feel like that is way too long. I want to take my test ASAP because i have a job lined up and I want to know how long it took for the rest of you to apply with the board of nursing and then letter to test

Tips for working night shift as a new lpn.
Thanks alot this is very helpful...ive been so caught up in worrying about taking my boards and getting this new job at the same time i havnt even thought of all the details. I have to wait to get my letter to test to start orientation, but as long as everything goes well with that I think i have the job. I havnt even thought about the aspect of having to be.in charge of CNA's or how I would react to them not doing there job properly...oh well one more thing to add to my list of things to do.....be assertive. Thanks so much and please share any and all information you have with me, its very much appreciated.

taking my first nursing job at a LTC facility
I am a new nurse and I will be taking my first job at a LTC facility on nights. I would like to know what the general responsibilities of a LPN in a LTC facility are. I would just like some advice from someone who has worked or currently works in one so that I could get an idea of what I will be doing from beginning to end of my shift. All advice will be greatly appreciated.

Tips for working night shift as a new lpn.
Hi everyone, I recently graduated the LPN program and am in the waiting process to take my NCLEX-PN. I have been offered a position at a Long Term Care Facility , with the choice of working 3-11 or 11-7. I am married with a 3 year old and at the moment im leaning toward night shift(11-7). I feel like it would keep me from missing out on things with my family in the afternoons, if I can find a balance between work and home. I would LOVE some input on how night shift has worked out for you or some tips on how to make the very most of working nights. Any advice for a new LPN taking her first job would be greatly appreciated.:)
