March 2012 CHLA RN Residency Program

Published

Hey everyone,

is anyone applying for March 2012 RN residency program at Children's Hospital Los Angeles??

Hi All,

Just to update everyone...

I got a call today around 1245 from CHLA for an interview scheduled for Nov 14th. They gave me the option of Nov 11 or Nov 14. From the call it seems like 5pm slot on Nov 14th is the last interview slot for this round. The HR person also said this is the HR/Recruiter interview, not the Nurse Manager interview round. The nurse manager interview is the next and final interview round.

I wish everyone luck!

Also, does anyone have any info about what the interviews are like? Any advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Nyee.. Congratulations!! What units did you apply for? And when do you apply and submit your packet?

Has anyone who applied to the NICU heard anything from HR?

Nicu was my top choice and I didn't hear anything yet

Okay I just spoke with the nurse recruiter. She told me that they're in the process of calling those selected for preliminary interview with recruiters, and if we don't hear anything by November 11th that we were not selected to interview. Good luck everyone!!

Thanks for the update! It's nice to have their "last day" in mind, waiting by the phone is enough torture.

You're welcome! I'm getting worried so I had to get some info :/

I applied for surgical as 1st choice and periop as 2nd. Good luck everyone!

Oh and I mailed my packet from San Francisco, CA the 2nd or 3rd day the application was open.

Thanks for the info :) wish you the best of luck!

I called and spoke to someone in HR. She confirmed that they are currently calling candidates for interviews. The interesting thing is that she said they would also call those that are declined... and are NOT be selected for an interview. That's a first! At least they care enough to let us know one way or the other!!! Good luck to everyone! Anyone new get a call this week?

It's nice that they'll be calling either way, knowing where we stand is always a good thing. Thanks for the info :)
