sorry i dont have idea of their salary.. as far as i know, the 3 month training has a 6k fee, some people said that this training is other way to be hired based on your performance aside from passing the hiring process in the HR. So, lets pray for the best and God Bless=)

That's motivating. Now I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I graduated last 2010 and my last clinical experience was for our intensive practicum, a month after our graduation. How many exams and interviews does one have to go through to be a staff nurse at MDH?

So far as of today, I did two exams. One for psych personality and another for Nurse Aptitude Test. As far as the interviews go, I already have 2 with HR and 1 with Nursing Service.

Im sorry to butt it but may I just ask if you have already gone through the screening process for hiring? Because if you have already, there was a section in the Application for Employment a box where you write your expected salary. I left mine blank and the HR asked me if it is negotiable. I hope that you are already undergoing the process for hiring because its already more than 3 months for me since I passed my requirements and I'm still awaiting employment so its better if you would pass your requirements already if you havent pass them yet

It's ok. I don't know yet. I'm going on monday to process. See you there. :)

Wow I admire your patience. Three months of waiting can be quite taxing. But as you have mentioned, 100% employment is better than just a 50/50 chance for a job.

Best of luck to you! :)

probationary salary is only minimum wage.

i don't know how much is it nowadays but when i was on probation, it's 8'500 more or less.

if you will be promoted as a regular employee, you'll earn more than 10k but lesser than 20.

Hahaha. sorry but were not allowed to disclose our salary.

But i tell you...our salary compared to SLMC, Asian, MCU and TMC is a bit higher.

If it's ok for you to go on overtime everyday for at least 5 hours a day (better salary) and if they ask you where do you want to be assigned, tell them you want to be assigned in the Operating Room Complex!

Tip:

When you're having your orientation, Mam *** will ask the class off guarded how will you feel if someone shout at you or someone cursed you...just tell her it's OK!

I tell you...Operating Room is not for the faint-hearted nor for sad people.

if i were you guys, i'll apply in MDH ASAP!

There's a massive nurse resignation lately because of better opportunities abroad.

In the Department of Emergency Medicine, 8 nurses resigned on the last 3 months.

In the ORC, 3 nurses will have their last duty today.

In the ICU-ASU, i think there are 2 who resigned last month.

I still have one more interview with the Nursing Director. Hopefully, I'll be able to get hired :)

interview with the Nursing Director is just a personal interview.

she will just ask where's your province, where do you live, if you have relatives who's working in MDH.

When i applied there, they never asked me anything regarding nursing.

I think they value the attitude and the personality more than the knowledge.

TIps for the trainees and probationaries.

NEVER BE LATE!!!

They are strict in attendance.

There are staff nurses who are on probation last time that did not get regularized because of attendance.

Hopefully they will assign more than 5 nurses in the ORC.

With the resignation of our 3 co-staff, 2 CIPs, 2 Maternity leave, we really lack manpower.

hi! i hope everyone's fine. :) last time ive been here was when im deciding whether or not to take the 3mo-training. i get insights when i read your stories and i just get enlightened.. thank you!

Now, i hope someone would help me out.. haha im currently on the last week of the training. i have taken the HR exam, got interviewed. i heard the Nursing aptitude test is given at the end of the training. And im starting to get nervous. i dont know what to study and its just breaking the crack out of me. it feels like im about to take a make or break exam again...
