Applicants who were Admitted:     95.30-82.00       13.53-12.17

Applicants who were Waitlisted:    90.00-77.30       12.14-11.73

Congratulations to all who were accepted, and good luck to those who are waitlisted!

Congratulations! Did you choose the Coon Rapids or Cambridge Campus?

Coon Rapids!

Hi all,

Last night I was accepted at NHCC, this morning I was accepted at ARCC and I'm going to decline my spot there since NHCC was my first choice. Good luck to everyone still waiting and everyone on the wait list.

@chaelj Congratulations!  That’s crazy that you heard already - did they email you or send a physical letter?

@alytho I got my acceptance email at midnight last night. I was waiting for a physical letter all week because I was told that usually how NHCC sends theirs out.

@chaelj I was just initially concerned that I hadn’t heard anything yet but you had gotten one that early in the morning LOL.  Just me being anxious about it!  Congrats again ☺️

Does anyone know how many students get waitlisted at Century, or at any of the MANE schools? My sister was just waitlisted with an 11.86 at Century. Just wondering the odds of her getting off the waitlist... Crazy how competitive it has gotten.

I think my letter for denial said 40 are on the waitlist at Century. My understanding is that the top 20 on waitlist typically get in. She will have a better idea of her position after April 1st. Hang in there!

Did she apply anywhere else? Letters were mailed out for Normandale today. So maybe that will open a spot.

I do not know many get waitlisted (someone said 40), but the waitlisted composite scores range from 12.14-11.73 so it sounds like she is on the lower side, but that doesn't mean she will not get in. If there are 40 on the waitlist, 39 of them could be 11.86 or lower. Was there a waitlist number on her letter?

Keep in mind many people apply to more than one school, so the waitlist go be exhausted very quickly. It was super competitive for Century this year, I was told the last few years the last person admitted from the waitlist had a score around 11.6, this year that didn't even cut the bottom of the waitlist!!

Best of luck to your sister!

No, she only applied to Century! Their pre reqs were a bit different and she didn't meet the other school's pre reqs. I graduated from Century in 2016 and got in with an 11.6 or something and wasn't even waitlisted. I am surprised that with the increase in competitiveness it hasn't translated to their NCLEX scores. I was just looking at their stats on their site. Their NCLEX scores for the last few years have been terrible. I'll be interested to see what happens once they implement the holistic admissions.

I think that is part of the reason they are implementing the holistic admission consideration. Just because you did well in the four course GPA considered classes, and do well on the TEAS test doesn't necessarily mean you would be a better nurse (or do better on the NCLEX). There are LPNs with years of experience who were waitlisted over people with no medical experience who did well in those classes/TEAS.
