Mane Nursing Fall 2021

Published

Hello Everyone!

I just took submitted my Mane application today and was hoping to find some people who have also just recently applied. I am applying to Normandale with a Composite score of 11.8! Looking forward to hearing from you all!

I submitted my MANE application today. I applied to North Hennepin, Anoka Ramsey, and Century. My composite score is 11.87. My first choice is North Hennepin! Good luck to everyone else applying!

Hello everyone and best of luck! I plan on submitting an application to all of the MANE colleges to increase the possibility of starting this Fall. It sure will be a pain submitting transcripts to all those colleges though. ? I'm taking the TEAS this week and will post again with my TEAS and composite score, but my GPA is a 3.25.

Which colleges are known for accepting the lowest composite scores? I know Inver is pretty competitive.

rubyred_11 , good luck with the TEAS test! As for MANE colleges accepting with the lowest composite scores I think Anoka Ramsey does. I think they take in the most people also. I’m not 100% that’s just what I’ve heard.

Thank you, chaelj!! ?

Hi, I also applied for MANE today. My composite is 11.73, applying to IHCC. Is this admission solely based on TEAS and GPA? Because the application had an optional written portion, do you think they take it into consideration as well?

@kay3197 - the written portion is just a trial run for when they start using the 'holistic' application process for the Spring 2022 cohort.  For this application cycle its just the GPA from the 4 classes + your TEAS score.

Hey everyone!  I'm also going to be applying to Inver Hills this fall - my GPA is a 3.2 for the 4 classes, and my TEAS was 86.9, which should give me an 11.89 composite score.

I've applied a handful of times over the past couple years (most recently in 2018 - I was accepted but had to refuse due to unfortunate circumstances), and I think Inver tends to be kinda in the middle in terms of competiveness?  This is all anecdotal of course, but from what I've heard, it seems like Century & Normandale are the most competitive, and Inver comes in after them.  Looking through threads about this in years past it seems like lower 11's are kinda where it turns iffy if that makes sense.  Of course that's all just observation/conjecture, and who the heck knows how things will turn out d/t covid.

Best of luck to everyone!   Hopefully we don't go to crazy waiting to hear back!

I am really hoping that the benchmark is a bit lower this semester due to decreased enrollment numbers and such. The wait is already killing me and we haven't even reached the application deadline! Im considering applying to other MANE schools to not put all my eggs in one basket and probably ease some anxiety.

@ampete  I’m hoping the same!  I think with that 11.8 you should still have a pretty comfortable hold either way though.  And if you have the classes for the other schools done then I definitely think it’s not a bad idea to apply to more!  I would do that too but I’m still short a few classes ?.
I got an email from inver today saying that my application looks good & has everything they need, and that we should all get notifications from our respective applications by 4pm on March 15th.  I’m happy that this time around there seems to be more assurance that things are moving along than in years past.

Is anyone applying to NHCC or ARCC?

@alytho it says on the application that you can only submit the form once so I don’t want to do it again for more schools and then mess it up for normandale. Also my comp score for arcc and ridgewater would be much lower I think cause I’d have to include a class I got a ‘C’ in. March 15th seems like forever from now!
