MANE Fall 2019 Applicants

Published

Hey, I wanted to get a thread going for MANE program applicants for fall of 2019 to see what competitive level we are at this year. My TEAS score was 85.3 and my GPA is a 3.5 giving me a combined score of 12.3. I just submitted applications to Inver Hills (my home school), Metro State and Century college. I would love to stay at Inver since it is 10 minutes from my house, but will be pleased with any acceptance letters!! Let me know, it would be fun to figure out where the averages on scores are!!

Thanks for the update!

Did you hear anything yet? A friend of mine found out today she got off the appeals list. She just had a transcript issue. Her contact said if we are off the wait list we will receive ups mail. If we are still waitlisted we should receive an email with a number today. I have been staring at my inbox most of the day and nothing so far!

I’ve heard the same thing! I don’t get it though because they also told me that they will be giving people who are on the waitlist an acceptance letter if they’ve made the cut. And then those remaining on the waitlist will get a number today. So I feel like people who do get a waitlist number today are still looking at a slim chance of getting in because the school has already accepted people ahead of them!

I think it’s going this way since it was all running behind. The decline date was ten days after the other schools. I think that is why they waited to give waitlist numbers. Does that mean if we do get a letter, we have to wait a few more days.

Yea it must be that’s why it’s going that way. But say that 30 accepted students sent in their decline responses by April 10th...century college then notifies students who responded “yes, please put me on the waitlist” that they’ve been accepted. So it seems almost pointless to asssign waitlist numbers to the remaining students...I don’t know. I’m not holding my breath but we will see. If we don’t get an email today or tomorrow then maybe we will get an acceptance letter by next week. I’m not counting on them to get the letters out this week haha!

The process of letting us know is really weird. Why can’t emails go out to everyone, even those coming off the wait list?

I emailed Sherrie Hegstrom and she replied with letters will be sent out in a couple of weeks? I guess the saga continues. I just wanted to know where we stand on the wait list. I was just going off of other forums and schools. People were off the waitlists a few days after deadlines for turning in acceptance/denials.

Ridiculous! That’s why I was saying assigning numbers now is pointless. They’ve already notified some of students that have turned in their waitlist form that they have been accepted. So those of us now receiving a “waitlist number” are basically the second round of students being waitlisted because a good amount of waitlisted students have just been accepted hahah. If that makes sense!

Where are you getting the information that some people on the Century waitlist have already been notified that they are accepted?

Do you know for sure people have been accepted off wait list already? My friend that found out today was an appeal, I think those are different. I just don’t get why we had to turn in forms and then are not told where we are on the wait list. A couple weeks is a really long time to find out how far down the list we are.
